so i realize when straddle goes in ... should one be playing like we have half stacks? so shoving a bit more light when in the straddle n such with ak n what not?

If your going to straddle you need to be using an aggressive play, but i really don't get what your asking in your post.

I believe he is asking as if you should treat the straddle as the 3rd blind, so in a 1-2 game a $100 stack would now be equivalent to 25 BBs due to the straddle rather than 50BBs.

My answer to that would be "no".

Thats exactly what it is. If there is a 5 dollar straddle and you have a $100 dollar stack you are effectively playing 20BB for this particular hand.

yes sorry guys was in a rush, when i straddle 5$ having 200$ my stack becomes a 40bb stack so i guess i kinda answer my own question do i pretty much have to play sort stack strategy?

Basically the stack-to-pot ratios will be lower on every street than if there wasn't a straddle, so yes.

ok because i had been shoving alot lighter in the straddle seemed to be getting rolled cause when i raise 25$ in the straddle with AK c/f flop is so nasty or 3betting it n than the boat is 1 cb = my stack so shoving + FE is more +ev obviosuly i do know i need to have some reads on villians not shoving against a call happy station

also set mining becomes -ev by trying to set mine @ 40bb would anyone be able to show the math behind it? because iam going to c/f soo many times the flop so i have been folding alot of PP unless its like 3-4 way i call with odds and all stack sizes are the same effective size
