2/5 Borgata 7-handed

Hero (1200): Solid, active, no bluffs shown

V (800): Very tight, tourney player possibly

V limps utg +1, mp limps, hero raises 40 w/ 85ss from cutoff, v and mp call.

Flop (127): 9c 7c 6c

V leads for 45, mp folds, hero raises 165, V snap calls.

Turn (457): Qc

V snap checks, hero ??

V looks like he has 2-pair/sets, any flush would stop to think about that turn. Do we shove for value aginst sets?

Fold pre. As played, you can't shove. Villain could easily play the naked Ac like this. I disagree that he would stop to think about it OTT necessarily, snap check is very common when people make the nuts (or near nuts here, whatever).

Preflop is a mistake and where you are really losing most of your money in this hand.

As played, check turn. With a good live read you could make a case for betting again but without one there is no way to know if villain is trapping, calling down or ready to fold. With four clubs on the board you mostly are now trying to get to a cheap river. You probably beat more hands then not but not much better is folding and not much worse is calling.

Just to join the chorus, fold pf.

A shove on the turn is awful on many levels. Worse hands are not calling and better hands are going to call. Maybe you can get a T high flush to fold, but I doubt it.

V snap calls 165 on a suited flop, what's he folding to on the turn? I think the snap check is more likely a nutted type hand than it is fear. Unless it's the fear that the 4th club killed his action. Fold.

Avoid this situation entirely by folding pre.

Hero checks turn

V perks up in his chair, he was expecting a bet.

River comes an offsuit 4.

V shoves almost immediately.

Call? Fold?

Seems like a trivial fold, hard to come up with anything you beat.

I can only assume V showed up with something really weird here or the hand wouldn't be posted.

You guys think V doesn’t re-raise flop then checks turn w/ Ac in his hand?

Yeah? Why wouldn't he?

Also, you have any better ideas of something that can call a raise OTF but feels the need to bluff jam the river?
