I mean I had the same feeling...

so then do we go for the hero fold on the flop?????????????????????

that would be really sick if this is a fold, lmao I love poker

this would be a good spot for what I like to call the ''FU face up fold"

This.
In my experience, women do not ram pots without holding the near-nuts.
Especially middle-aged or older women.

Middle-aged women would not ram a set on a three flush flipped board. This woman definitely flopped a flush.

Against a flopped flush with no straight flush draw we are 25% to win (3 to 1). So I call because I think there will be enough pair + flush draw type of hands to make me +EV.

Obviously if villain flopped a set and filled up on the turn we should, but I think this is a small portion of villain's range here. The majority of the range is flopped flushes and combo draws IMO.
How you coming up with 25%.
If she flopped a flush we have 7 diamonds out of 44 unseen cards to hit a diamond. For 16%.

Tough spot for sure. No reads no game flow. I probably would have shoved flop as a default. On turn I think I can find a fold.

I think all these turn folds are responsible for all these downswings.
Id rather make a bad fold otf than a bad CALL.
I dont take sides in this hand tho I have minimum live exp.

You are both wrong. 10 outs out of 44 unknowns vs. a flush after the turn. 1-8, 2-k, 7-d for 23%.

At these stack sizes, I think a fold or call are not bad. Given no reads and V is older woman, I'd lean to fold because I think worst hand we are up against is small flush. Instead of 10% spazz factor, I think there's a 1% spazz, with 20% FH, 79% flush.

The SPR is not very high here with 125$ in the pot and 275 left in our stack. Little bit above 2.

We have top pair top kicker and the nutflushdraw. I just cant see how we are gonna lay this down, unless villain shows us a flopped flush face up before we call. If our villain has any spazzfactorpercent at all, we are making a pretty big mistake laying down here imo.

The more interesting question is do we ship the flop, or do we just call the 100$ bet to entice others to come along also- giving us better odds drawing to our nutflush?

If we are never folding anyway, I prefer flop ship.

1. It might get a call from AK which we free roll against;

2. If we are never folding and V has a flopped flush, we miss value for the times that we get there and she check folds on 4th diamond. (again - this assumes we're never folding anyway)

the only downside is the very few times she spazzes out with a hand that might fold if we shove.

I don't think it maters much with these stack sizes. A shove might be slightly better.

i'm just surprised she played her hand the way she did with a set on a flush board.

What happened to the 2nd 8?

2-8s
2-Ks
7-Ds

11 out of 44 cards

25%
