I forgot all the preflop action, I beleive there qas a straddle and maybe 3 limps. I AM IN BB with A10s and bunp it up to 30 and a loose cally fish calls pf. After the 5 rake and all the limps thenpot is 65ish. This is a 100 max1.2 nl. And I had 100 at the start of the hand, v covers. Flop is kj7 2 spades no diamonds. I CHECK and he bets 17 into 65 I call, turn a 2 he bets 20 into 99 ai call riv brick he bets 20 I fold. Do you guys call flop here or just muck? Turn my odds to call are even better to call but I am not sure if I could have saved myself the extra 37 here

Don’t check flop. Just jam it in with an SPR of 1.

1) Don't play 100 cap raketrap games if you have any choice at all. It will be really hard to win much in a game like this.

2) Is 15BB a typical raise in this game? I'd suggest you raise smaller, or, preferably, check, particularly if limpers don't like to fold and/or their ranges are strong (i.e. people limp hands like JJ AQ etc). You don't have to raise just because it's limped to you. If this were 300 effective I like raising ATs in the BB, but...100 effective the suitedness is not as important, and it plays well as a limp as you still have lots of money behind. If this is a 9 or 10 handed game you don't really want to be playing too many raised pots in the blinds.

3) You managed to get it HU with an SPR of 1 with an overcard plus a gutshot. Just ship, villain folds a lot and when he doesn't you have decent equity.

I need strong reads on the limpers being nits to just complete this pre. ATs is basically a premium at 1/2. Actually considering the size of the pot and stacks just ripping it in pre is great. Didn’t notice we were only 20 straddles deep over a bunch of limpers before.

Yeah they limp JJ sometimes but they limp K3s just as often and they need to be punished for that.

Unfortunately this is the best 1.2 game in l.a. The rest are 40 max.

As for pf I think everyone who limped would limp all premiums for sure but also a ton of garbage. I do think I can get in trouble against ak aq aj some.of the time but overall Im picking up alot of limped money and also gettibg worse to call.

It doesnt matter if you get worse to call preflop if youre going to play post flop like this. By check/calling, you're letting all the worse hands off the hook and giving them free cards and losing to the hands that beat you who are the only ones betting when you check. Its a lose/lose.

If youre going to play preflop like that, you have to jam a lot of flops, and this is one of them.

Standard tag abc will double you up pretty fast and you’ll be able to play deep. I think you will grow your roll considerably.
