Standard fold right? Standard fold right?

2/5

Stacks various from 150-1000
Hero sitting on 700ish

Reads
Hero-been very card dead this session only played 3-4 hands in 2 hours but has a reputation of being very aggressive.
Table- only 2 decent players there rest a donkeys/fish/maniacs

The hand
Hero utg with AA raises 20
6 callers

Flop JJTr
V bets out 75
Hero ?????

I have seen V bet out like this before with just about anything from Jx,Tx, any straight draw, lower PP (22+) would not surprise me.
If it was heads up I would be calling here
But with 5 people behind me I thought that at least 1 person would have a jack in there hand.
So I folded.
The hand played out and after a few people wanted to know what I had so I told them.
This just made the table erupt with a few of the players there literally stunned that I fold AA there.
I was thinking about it and really think it is a standard fold while a few of the players were giving me grief about it saying that it is a terrible fold etc.
This is pretty standard right? Should I be calling at least 1 street here or should I just let it go and move on?

Yeah, super easy fold in that situation. Never tell anyone you folded an overpair.

Easy fold. If anyone asks, say you folded 77.

Is villain really donking under pairs and weak draws into a crowd? That puts you in a nasty squeeze but really this board is too ugly to stick around. This almost has to have hit somebody, either with JX, TT or a big draw. If villain will donk that wide it will turn you that you would have won sometimes but it isn't worth it on this flop. Even if the original villain is super wide the risk that somebody will turn up with a big hand here is better then 50/50.

The big mistake was telling your opponents what you actually had. This is the sort of hand where you say you had AQo and couldn't call to chase your gutshot draw or even a worse hand.

This is a really ugly spot for AA and I don't mind the fold at all. It's likely +EV. Like others have said, don't tell anyone you're capable of laying it down here. Their reaction says that you are in a REALLY good game though - which you probably already knew.

There's 6 other players in the hand. A player donked out. We're to act. Fairly easy fold.

Usually I don't tell anyone but it was my last hand of the night and it is a real friendly game.

Call me crazy but I'm calling and seeing what happens. Jx is far more likely to c/r than donk for half pot. Since the range you provided is far wider than Jx than I am going to assume we are currently ahead but treading lightly.

WTF at telling people what you folded!? You're asking for trouble.

Reads are important here, would also like to know effective stacks and position of V but I may well call here, especially since you say this guy can donk out all kinds of hands.

stacks are 700 effective and V donked out of the blinds

With six callers on a $20 flop this hits multiple people's ranges rift in the nuts.

Situations like these are like a little reciprocality test. Do you call it down and lose the maximum or fold and lose the minimum. Calling even one street for 10% of your stack is a huge mistake.

Agree with those who say fold. Your hand is somewhat better than 99, but not a lot. Don't be a POW.

The other players will tell you it's a bad fold when it's a good one. They love the POWs.
