Table is pretty much completely unknown.

All villains are not regs in the casino, and I should have pretty much no image. I' young, wearing headphones, and texting on my phone a bit.

V1: opened earlier for $6 from MP earlier, and showed A8s when no one called. I expect his small openings to be weak.
V2: Just sat down 3 hands ago, folded all of them.

1 limp
V1 raises to $6 from UTG1
4 calls including V2 in CO
Hero raises to $42 on the button with QJ
5 folds
V2 in the CO jams for $130 total
Hero calls

you are probably very behind-why call all in with a mediocre hand here? you are behind many pairs and any ace and any king. i would think of better spots to put my money in the middle.

Always calling the shove... V2's range should be low pocket pairs and maybe some Ax - for which you are getting great odds against.

Preflop, I would not squeeze with this hand. QJs plays beautifully postflop, especially with absolute position in a multiway flop. I would squeeze with Ax hands and some K-rage suited.

This.

A2-5 suited, and if the spot is correct kx are best for squeezing, where blockers play a huge roll.

I'm all for squeezing here with other hand as well as mentioned in the thread.

But I think they have a lot of AX, KX, 33-88 here that I can get to fold out and not even take a flop.

Not a good enough reason?

Working on squeezing more.

I'm with Bip, don't love the 3-bet pre-flop man.

I don't think it's terrible by any means, but I like playing the entire hand in position and playing a smaller pot multi-way with bigger stacks behind with a hand that can flop huge against a population of villains that don't fold enough (a fact that also makes me not love 3-betting with Q-high as it's not unusual to get called 2+ times here... and by the way, since you're new to the table, you have only the beginnings of a read that V1's open sizing is weak - and further, you have no read that he'll raise/fold much).

Again, not terrible, but not my favorite.

The rest of the hand plays itself. Lots of money in the pot, and so you're getting > 2:1 on this call, so yeah, snap it off.

Yeah, I mean table is unknown at this point.

Squeezing sounds good, but I think it's going to be a lot better when you pick up more dynamics/reads.

Squeezing QJs here as a default doesn't seem like a great default, but again, I don't think it's terrible at all.

I'm probably just calling the raise. QJs is a hand I am fine seeing a multiway flop with especially in position. As played im fine with calling the shove even though I expect to be behind always.

Preflop: I'd rather just throw the six bucks in. You have position and a hand that plays very well multi-way. By 3betting you are basically taking a hand with value and turning it into a naked bluff. A bluff raise would be better with either a worse hand or more reads as to how the table has been reacting to reraises.

Also, you don't have to raise so much. $35 accomplishes everything that $42 does, but allows you to save a few bucks when your bluff fails.

After the 4bet, fold. Your pot odds aren't good vs. an unknown's range.

Just my opinion...

I would just flat until I get better reads on everyone.

calling is better than 3-betting in this spot because your hand plays well multiway

also, if there are short stacks (like that guy with $130), they are more likely to just put it in with something like JJ or AQ that has you crushed

Yeah, I mean, I had made it sound like a lol-odds snap call, but I kind of agree with Moneyline now that I think about it more. Doubt it's a snap call.

V2 's range from the cutoff in this spot is not particularly strong.. and unlikely to dominate QJ - so I would feel great about calling getting > 2:1.

This V flatted after ~3 callers... then shoved when calling would have left him barely sitting on a PSB heading to a flop OOP. To me it screams something like 99- that doesn't want to fold, doesn't want to call and then be confused on most flops... so he shoves.
