Sour Grapes? KK & 87s played correctly? Sour Grapes? KK & 87s played correctly?

Just finished up a session with a little 'sour grapes' feeling even though I doubled up for the night after playing 3.5 hours. I know I played these correctly but I once again find myself winning a high volume of hands and end up losing/missing value in the big pots. Take a look ...

V1 - extreme spew, raises and calls most raises PF at ALL times. Plays 80 percent of hands dealt to the Flop minimum

V2 - LAG but very solid in big pots. loves to apply pressure if checked to on any street. Always tries to have position on me when we play. Tons of hisotry.

Hand 1 ... V1 button straddle ($5) ... I (420) limp with KK, V2 (620) limps as do 3 others. V1 (230) adds on another $21 ... both SB (110) and BB call ... I raise to $91 and V2 sighs and says sh^^ and ends up folding after 30 seconds. V1 calls and SB goes all-in for the rest of her stack. We both call ... I shove into an Ace high Flop, V1 calls and I win with KK.

You say what wrong? After the hand V2 tells me that if I flat he goes all in with QQ and I get his stack 'when' I call. Although I won the pot and Im pretty sure about the PF 3-bet. Do any of you flat here since you pretty much get these short stacks in anyway and go for V2 or others behind him? We are both limping here to induce the raise from the Button, which we get and BECAUSE we know hes going to play back or call us when we 3-bet.

Hand 2 ... against different V to my left, doesnt play many hands, overvalues holdings and yet still has a very wide range.

I open UTG+2 to 11 with 87s and get 3 callers including V, B and SB ... Flop comes 963. I have an open-ended strt flush draw, yeah. SB donks for 17, I raise to 37 and V shoves 200!! SB folds out and of course I ... think about it. I am 0 for 10 lifetime when going all-in on the Flop with OESFD. Never hitting even a strt, much less a flush or 'the' strt flush. I know I 'must' call since I am a statistical favorite and getting better than the right pot odds to call here. I forget to offer to run it twice before I call and get blanked out ... V shows Q9o, no backdoor flush draw

I know these hands progressed the 'right' way, but I just shake my head that I seem to lose an usually high number of large pots but win the small ones when the odds are the same.

Hand 1 is a no brainer right? Or do we even consider trapping the big stack to my left?

Hand 2 some of you are going to say dont raise 87s from UTG but the point is I 'have' to make that call ... now 0 for 11 with OESFD to the tune of about $3000. Sour grapes yes, but I still booked a win and should be happy with that, right?
