all hands are typical 1/2 on the east coast

1. KQo in SB. EP limper to me. complete or raise for value? 225 effective. guy's limping range is low-mid pairs, suited aces, some better suited connectors and some offsuit broadways (not the best of the best like AK or AQs). postflop he folds without top pair or an 8+ out draw, but he will value-own himself with top pair/week kicker for 3 streets with obviously beat hands. can't read board or texture at all.

2. 66 in EP. utg limps, i limp, mp limp, bad tag/lag reg makes it 17, bad tag/lag calls in LP, utg folds, i fold. effective stack size is 225 again. thought it was close given multiple opponents already in and possibly the mp limper too. getting 15 to 1 on stacking a fool. i folded though, opting for better price. too nitty?

3. A9s on BTN. bad tag/lag reg opens to 8, same bad tag/lag reg calls, bad rec player also calls, i folded. considered all 3 options. wasn't sure.

4. ATo in MP. two bad players in EP limp. one of them a rec player who limp-calls hands i dominate like Ax and KT, QT, JT type hands. i raised to 15 and ended hand.

5. 88 on BTN. straddle pot. folded to me, i should have raised, right? i called. both blinds call. 4 way to flop of T74r. checked to me and i bet 12 into 16 and took it down. i guess it was a thin value bet against 7x, 66, 98, J8, J9 or random overcards.

have a few more hands to discuss, but the others had postflop action i questioned as well as the preflop. i know its supposed to be one hand to a post, but i thought since these were all pretty quick and had no postflop discussion, i could group them. if that was a bad idea, let me know and i won't do it again. thanks.

Hand 1: clear raise pre. Raise to $12 pre. I don't mind taking down the pot but we want this heads up. It's great that he's very fit or fold post flop. Also sounds passive so you being OOP isn't that big a deal. Agains aggro players I'd limp pre.

Hand 2: clear limp in EP unless table was super tight pre. Fold pre. Unless PFR has a super tight range (QQ+ and AK or tighter) you will have a very very hard time stacking someone when you flop a set. Even if the rest of limpers call, you don't have enough to set mine against a wide range.

Hand 3: usually fold. Assuming 100bb eff, I'd 3bet fold to $40 if I think they fold way too often. You need to take down the pot ~60% of the time to break even. You block AA, AK too which makes your fold equity better. Calling pre is terrible (even ATo is a fold pre)

Hand 4: assuming 100+bb eff, I'd raise to $15 to $18 if I think I can get it hu a lot AND player is very fit or fold. Even when they had AK, AQ, there are only two aces left that can flop and you both likely will miss flop. Usually fold pre. Calling is terrible. In late position, almost certainly raise pre if u can get it down to one or two calls

Hand 5: assuming 100bb or more, raise pre to $12 to $14 always. You almost always have the best hand and you want this hu. Your hand will rarely hold against three players unless u flop a set. It's hard to get paid off when u hit a set in this spot. I'd likely limp if there was another limper as stacks are cut in half.

Note that when eff stacks are short (75bb or so or less) you should tighten up your raising range a lot and rarely ever limp even on button. The reason is any raise will bloat the pot that you will be forced to commit or fold flop when u flop top pair. Short stacked, I'd raise with AQ+, TT+ in early position and raise with 99+, AJ+, KQ in other positions

1. Depends on how bad the player is. The worse he is the more you want to isolate here and have him make mistakes post flop in a large pot. If hes any good I wouldn't bloat this pot oop.

2. If the guys left to act aren't creative I normally just go ahead and take these spots to flop a set even though we are just shy of being deep enough to speculate here. As long as you don't get squeezed out of seeing a flop often go ahead and stack fools.

3. This spot depends a bit and if you're not comfortable with making judgement calls post flop it makes sense to pass this spot up. Otherwise calling is the play, here definitely want to be speculating here with a suited ace, just aiming to flop 2 pair or a flush/draw.

4. Not much to say. Nh.

5. Just dont open fold 88 on the button. Calling is probably a little worse then opening for a raise. The cool thing about open limping 88 here is the times you flop a set and they somehow connect with their garbage they're in for a ride.

* Note, a few of the spots are close, kind of depends what your goal is in the cash game, if you're trying to speculate a bit and felt folks and aren't worried about losing a few buy ins, think you need to lean to not folding in those spots.

Or if you're just playing tight and looking for a double and maybe catch a spewtard you can pass the spots up. Although in general your hourly will suffer playing like this. Also depends on how comfortable you are in close spots post-flop. Cause if you're going to make big mistakes post flop you may as well play it close to the vest.
