Snap call? Weird...1/2 ballys Snap call? Weird...1/2 ballys

Villain was tight passive fishy lady who got felted a few times in semi coolers a fee hours past and now she's back.

3 limpers (utg mp co) 200 eff.
Hero btn ATo to 14
Limpers call (lady and old man)
Co shoved for 23 failed to notice he was this short. Does it change anything?
Hero had to just call.
Limpers call

Flop (88) 96hh3s
Checks around
Turn (88) Td
Utg bets 40
Limper folds
Hero calls
River (168) 9s
Utg bets 50 fast
Hero?

Am I ever good there?

the difference between folding and calling might be whether she's opened up from steaming... I'm expecting to see either a hand that was beating us on the turn or a worse 10 most of the time, not expecting to see too many bluffs unless villain is truly beyond terrible or steaming

Villain could easily have a weaker 10 and were getting 4-1...id say call

My issue was the bets were big for the table. Yeah the pot was big but I dohbt she knew that.

Call. V probably has a boat though. Tight + passive + lady + leading turn and river = you lose.

It's a call. U are getting over 4:1 on a call which means u only has to be right 20% of the time to turn a profit. Also it looks like it could be a blocker bet so this could be a weaker 10 or even a bluff often enough to make this call

Btw the only way u could've gotten away from this hand is to just muck it on the turn (would be a super tight and probably bad lay down though) since that river shouldn't change anything (and villain is unlikely to bet turn wih just a 9)

Gotta raise more pre next time with limpers who want to call like that.

Hard for me to fold the river if I thought I could call the turn.

Agreed. I really felt she was strong though.

Isn't the whole raise more pre to get less limp callers kind of results oriented thinking?

Doesn't look like it. Most people need top pair to bet the turn there. And she's a tight passive.

Well, yes, but you don't just have to rely on your results to make this sort of judgment.

You should be using the results of open raisers to determine the appropriate raise size for your table.

Just based on this hand alone, it looks like that isn't a big enough raise with 3 limpers in the pot.

I would have raised to CO's stack the first time around, I'm pretty happy iso'ing him with a little bit of dead money. With hands like ATo I think we have to be really sure our raise limits the field cuz going 4+ ways to the flop is death; I'd either raise very large (my default) otherwise I'd rather overlimp here.

4ways in a protected pot, I'm probably done with the hand unless I hit something worth betting.

I call down and call the river getting good odds. He would have to be fairly ******ed to be bluffing a whiffed draw, but most of our opponents are fairly ******ed. Good enough odds that we're up against a worse Tx, imo.

Yeah I wish I would have just isolated the shorty. It was a pretty big mistake not noticing how short he was. I felt she was super strong on the turn but I felt I had to call and it would be super weak to just fold. When the river came and she remained aggro I just mucked due to the fact that she seemed so strong. I really didnt take into account for how big the pot had gotten.

And your describing villain as a fishy woman..

I said she was a woman and had gotten coolered several times earlier. If I had to classify her pre hand it would have been borderline nitty.
