Background: Hero has an image of a tight player and has been aggressive in certain spots, but also has folded on flops where they missed and there were lots of players to act behind. At this point the game is short handed. It is also my first time playing the this room. Stack at start of hand is ~$150 and he is covered by both villians.

V1: Clearly a recreational player bought in short and ran it up to $300. I have seen him call raised with questionable hands over the time I’ve been here and show down the worst many times.

V2: Known regular and is friends with a player at the table who has called him tight all night. In the four hours I have been there he played maybe 4-8 hands and showed the winner almost every time he went to show the best hand.

OTTH:
UTG folds.
V1 calls in MP.
CO folds.
V2 calls in BU.
Hero raises to 12 in SB with AK.
V1 and V2 both call.

My main problem with this part is that I didn’t size up to like $18 with the limpers.

Flop($37) - 1063
I c-bet for $20. V1 folds and V2 calls.
Reason for the c-bet was mainly because I could reasonably have the 10’s (109s, J10s, etc), the over pairs (JJ+), a set of 10’s, or strong unpaired hands that are ahead of my opponent when they miss (AJAK,KJ-KQ,QJs) many of these have straight draw opportunities. Let me know your thoughts on this.

Turn ($72) - K

I lead out for $40. V2 calls.

I lead this card because it helps my specific hand giving me TPTK. It also puts me ahead of any AT holding villain may have which was a hand I thought he may.

River ($152) - 6

Hero jams remaining $62 for value. V1 snap calls and shows J5for the flush.

I felt that jamming this spot was the correct play because I was going to check call if he jammed river. Jamming here gave me the most fold equity by continuing the aggression throughout the hand and not allowing him to take control. I didn’t expect him to call me with the hand he had and was more targeting worse pairs or King’s that floated and had worse kickers.

Flop bet is dependent on villains, but in general 3 way I'm not c betting here against your average 1-2 calling stations.
Rest of hand plays itself, but make sure you praise the villain as making a brilliant play.

Haha yeah I saw him table the hand and just thought “what the ****?!?!?!?!?!” but actually said “nice hand man...well played”.

Not sure what you mean by “jamming here gave me the most fold equity”? No one is ever folding anything that beats you.

That's just patronizing. People can tell when you make such a blatantly insincere comment.

I'd probably just say something like "I just did not see that, very well disguised. Nice play sir" in my charming British accent. Americans generally not very good at getting sarcasm so I'm usually good.

I’m not British but I was sarcastic when saying that. I obviously didn’t think the play was good and wasn’t being serious when telling him. Whether the sarcasm was picked up or not will never be known haha.

I always say ‘nice hand’ regardless , I don’t add the ‘well played’ though unless they bluffed me or generally didn’t play like a massive fish.
