This is one of my buddies hands from playing 1/2. He just started playing live.

There were a few limpers and this guy on the button who he describes as a pretty loose player raises it to 20. The small blind calls and my buddy looks down at A/K off in the big blind. He decides to call and everyone else folds. My buddy has about 150 behind, the small blind has around 60, and the initial raiser has them both covered by about 50. The flop comes A 8 7 rainbow. Both him and the small blind check and the guy jams. The small blind tanks for two minutes and decides on a call.

Hero: ?

I told my buddy he should have definitely 3 bet to like 50 or 60 pre.

Well, for me it's a preflop decision.

Preflop I am. Repopping it to 80 atleast or all in.

Or It might be a super nitty fold for some.

I have $40 in pot, and if I am still flatting. as played, all my money is going in on flop if A or K comes.

Pre is seriously an insta snap jam. “Loose player opens to 20”, then your friend “decides to call” oop with 150 behind. That’s not the optimal play

Ap flop is a call

Welcome to the forum, OP. Please don't include results in the future, as they bias advice. I edited them out.

This is never a flat pre OOP. AP, with an SPR of only 2:1, I don't love calling with TPTK given the action, but I can't really see folding it.
