Hi everyone. Long time lurker, first time poster. Wondering if I could get some input on how I played this hand. I apologize for any formatting errors.

Blinds are €.5/€1 and from what I can tell after checking 2 casinos this is the highest stake and only game running in the city. Effective stacks are €300.

Table started 6 handed, it's now midnight and we're down to only 3 players.

Villain (BB): Old man. Straddles every UTG. Quite loose passive pre flop and sticky on the flop but has been folding turns and rivers to continued aggression. In 3 hours has only been involved in one big hand when he flopped a set and stacked a LAGtard who sadly left the table soon after. Mostly passive but tends to bet if no one else seems interested in the hand. Has made a couple pot sized river bluffs when turns have checked through, one of which I picked off with ace high on a paired low-card board. No other history with villain.

Hero (BTN) Image is semi-loose and aggressive. I've been raising wide in late position but not too out of line for short-handed play. Taking down a decent amount of hands pre flop. Have been c-betting pretty frequently and taking down some flops, and double barreling sometimes due to opponents peeling flop wide then tightening up. Giving up on turn other times depending on board texture. Have also checked down a few middling hands. Other than that, haven't had any big hands going to showdown and generally been card dead. Haven't been caught bluffing. OTTH.

Pre Flop:
Hero (BTN) with 5 6 raises to €4
SB folds
Villain (BB) calls

Flop (€8) Q 9 2
Villain checks
Hero bets €5
Villain calls

Turn (€18) K
Villain checks
Hero bets €10
Villain calls

River (€38) J
Villain checks
Hero ??

Obviously river is the main decision but feel free to discuss the rest of the hand.

Your hand has no showdown value so you have to bluff the river. Sry he stationed you with two-pair.

This is a bad board to c-bet since it you only have a bdsd and the guy is a station. You're aloud to have a give-up range otherwise you will be c-betting 100% of flops which is too much.

I agree we are allowed to give up in some spots. Not sure raising pre is ok either. Yes we want to be active from the button shorthanded but we're better off raising with a kx and qx type hands instead of these connectors.

Check turn. Check river. This is a bad board to barrel.
