I don’t the river is a good bluff-catcher. Mainly because he ain’t bluffing. His range is just so KK/AK heavy AP.

Sigh fold. Almost the nut low flop for us while still hitting a set. Turn is basically never a hand we beat unless he's been shown to be a maniac; and realistically the only reason to call the turn is to boat up on the river.

We didn't boat up so now we fold, lament missing our draw and move on with our life.

4bet pre. I'm sure villain doesn't 3bet enough overall, but BTN vs SB ranges should be more than wide enough. Add in the overcall and a 4b becomes very profitable very fast. Calling off the jam too, allthough JJ would be the bottom.

Raise flop. Seems like a nobrainer.

Turn is fine.

River: it's so hard for him to find pure bluffs. Specially if he's not 3betting enough. Fold.

Was right with you until you said to call a 5bet jam. That can’t be good.

Okay, thanks for confirming I didn't completely misread this...

I was actually the Villain here, not Hero, and I had AA. Made the hand into a bluff fairly sure he would fold 2 pairs and sets. Repping KK and AK with blockers. But he confidently told me he was pretty sure I had aces, sigh.

If you're gonna rep AK you should be overbetting turn and river for stacks IMO. With this middling sizing I'd rather just check turn. Your blockers are most effective when you force his calling range to be narrower and your hand does beat/have equity against some stuff that will check down. Villain needs to be capable of folding a Kx though, otherwise it's suicidal. Also Ax blocker is only relevant if AK is in his flatting range. Most people do and maybe he does, but it's something to keep in mind.

"Hero" folding JJ is fine. Mostly just agree with everything everyone else said. I think some non Kx hands are supposed to call when you use the small sizing, but probably not a bunch in a 3-bet pot where you both can have quite a bit of Kx.
