Live $1-$2. No reads on villain. Only at table briefly. He did buy in full. He has $200, I easily cover.
Folds to me in LJ. I have 8s8d. I raise to $6. BB calls. Flop is 9c8c5d. BB checks, I bet $9. He calls.
Turn ($31) 4d. He checks. I bet $20. He thinks briefly and rips it for his remaining $185.
I’m thinking he has more hands I am beating like pocket 10s, flush draws, pair with straight draw, etc.
You know what I think about pre sizing, so I won't comment on it.
Flop is fine. I like over-betting as an exploit on this texture. His calling range is likely inelastic here (price doesn't matter), which is why it makes sense to bet large in relation to the pot and extract max value with your good hands.
Gross. It's hard to give advice for turn spot without villain description.

I think over-betting the TURN instead of the FLOP is sexier.
Snap-Call the Shove.
I've said this before to others who say "no reads on villain" - If you remember, it's helpful to just describe villain (age, gender, etc.) b/c general population tendencies convey some information.
This is a call IMHO given there as SO many hands you're ahead of that could make this move (including 45 of clubs). U need to be good less than 50% of the time here, and I think you are. If he has 67 and you don't boat up, oh well and reload.
you still have to ask yourself that question and answer it. that mostly determines whether you call or not.
naturally if he can have a bunch of other hands you should call.
few will shove on 4th into a smaller pot without the nuts. some just feel you have the nuts you should move in. and some dont want to get outdrawn so bet it all.
