Semi Bluff Against two Villains with strong draw? Semi Bluff Against two Villains with strong draw?

1/2 NL Game, just sat down I have $300, both opponents in the hand have me covered, prob about $1000 in front of each.

In the BB with Q5

After 5 limpers I check.

Flop: 964

Pot is $10, I lead for $10, get called in two spots.

Pot is $40 2 on the turn. I check here with the intention of C/R.

First guy bets $50 into $40, second guy calls pretty quickly. I check-raise to $205. First guy folds, second guy hems and haws and eventually calls.

River: K I miss. Before I take any action he announces he checks (out of turn) I hate when people do this angle.

I have $85 left on the river, pot is probably $590.
Do you shove hoping he missed a draw too, or just check and give up?

Also thoughts on the check-raise?

I would check fold turn
Dont think your ever getting two folds when the pot has been overbet and there has been a call

Turn check/raise is a bad idea. With two opponents on the turn your draw isn't good enough. Against a single known opponent it might be workable. Against 2 unknowns you won't get both to fold enough and your draw isn't that strong.

If you do want to check/raise then move all in. You left yourself with an awkward size where you don't have enough to apply any pressure on the river but your hand isn't really good enough to bluff catch either.

what's the point of c/raising turn? As in - what story are you trying to tell by doing so? Given the board you should be betting all of your strong holdings so a c/raise looks weirdly suspicious.

Yeah, it's 1/2 and vills are unknown so they may not be able to pick up the c/r is weird thought process and the turned gutter gives you even more equity when called. However, still prefer to continue to bet here vs C/raise. Especially with a bet/call since now your jam has to get through 2 vills who appear interested in the pot.

Also - c/raise leaving $80 behind is terrible. You have to just jam if you're going to do this.

What was the plan if we missed on the river?

"...Also - c/raise leaving $80 behind is terrible. You have to just jam if you're going to do this..."

If the idea was to save the $80 when we missed... well, we missed. Give up.

If the plan was anything else we should have shoved the turn.

If there was no plan, why did we put $205 into the pot without a plan?

Appreciate all the replies.

The reason I chose $205 check raise and opposed to shoving all in, is I thought the move would look stronger, where an All in would be perceived more as a draw.

I think the way you played the hand is ok, except for your sizing on the turn. If you want to check raise the turn I think it has to be all in. The strength in check raising the turn is folding out all the 1 pair hands and denying all draws any odds to call. If you do get called its usually by a set, and you have lots of equity. You could maybe check raise a little smaller, like to $150, but that feels a little too fancy in my opinion and is difficult to judge without really knowing the players.

As played I would always shove the river and try to look casual doing it. There are actually a decent number of times you'll get a fold here.
