the past 3 days, the only new cases our State has recorded are people arriving back from overseas - all overseas arrivals (and the only ones allowed to fly in here are returning residents) have to do a supervised 14 day quarantine, so they don't pose any threat to spread local infection. there's talk that our borders will be closed for another 12 months at least.

am really hopeful that we can actually eradicate the virus from our state/country over the next month or two.

IIRC, "Kick The Can" is when one person is it and attempts to find other people, and when they spot (or is it tag?) someone they run back to base to take them as prisoner. The prisoners can be freed by one of their uncaptured team members kicking the can at the base.

The version I played was when you are spotted and called out by name. Thus we only played at night to make it harder for the spotter to correctly guess people. I think that's how we played at least. Fun game though.

Cases in the US are not flattening out much at all aside from New York and a few states that didn't have many cases (Hawaii, Alaska, Vermont, etc)
