I appreciate it, but no need to thank me. It's my duty as a lover of liberty!

protesting really does very rarely do anything other than make protestors feel good about 'doing something'. the fact that people have to walk around the streets shouting or whatever is a gesture of impotence...they're physically outside of the places where decisions are made.

the decision to get football going again would be more to do with the decision makers seeing the other conferences playing, realising that this could limit their liability and make the decision to recoup the season's money easier to justify. losing the $$ would be catastrophic to a lot of the colleges.

I'm ok with it anyway and do think some of the lockdowns in some places have gone way too far.

The protest was the public outcry against what 14 unaccountable bowties decided without giving a reason. Street marches are one part of the protest, the coaches on social media is another, so was the lawsuit the University of Nebraska players filed against the conference. Notre Dame having the most watched game on opening week stirred the pot for sure.

So you can say any one part of the symphony is not that important, but they all can be heard.

How about the gyms where all of you are at?

5am-9pm and a restriction on the number of people allowed to be inside at one time apparently. (not sure exact number and if that applies to all locations).

Gyms have been open here for a few months and honestly it couldn't be better. Virtually no one is there (although seems like as of Sept 1 there has been an uptick), everyone is masked and someone is cleaning at all times. Honestly seems like a totally safe place to be in this environment.

Didn't even think of tallying the man-hours but should have; worked on it when I was able from March thru September. Took a *lot* longer than I anticipated but then I always forget that everything very quickly adds up time-wise. Researching/finding/obtaining various materials, cleaning up after a session, putting on that second coat, etc. really is a time sink. Cost-wise the materials set me back just shy of $7K (cedar ain't exactly cheap).

My wife's new hockey team had their first game last night. She was impressed with how things were run. 4-on-4 on big ice to discourage grouping, dividers between individual players on the bench, no face offs, strict sign in policy, etc.

I hazily remember playing field hockey once in a lol session of high school gym. IIRC (I could be wrong) all the sticks were of the same length (made for someone approximately 3' tall) and same shooting side (left?). We all lol'ed @ field hockey.

Hasn't even fallen down yet. But it does slightly leak during big rain, which is a disappointment although one I can live with for now. Will perhaps look at fixing that during the next pandemic.

Every FBS school is playing football this fall! Wins for liberty all around! I also saw I'm getting my movie theatres back! Alexa, play Celebration by Kool and the Gang!

And FCS will play in the spring, they might get some deserved viewership.
