£1-£1 in Manchester, UK. Game plays semi-deep, with 50% of hands straddled.
Hero - Mid 30's white guy. Probably viewed as TAG. Doesn't play too many speculative hands pre, fires barrels post. Recently lost a 275bb pot in a flush vs flush scenario but should have been viewed as taking it well.
Villain - Reg in the game (knows other players etc.) Late 20's. Seems to have played fairly straightforward. Hero hasn't noticed villain getting into many postflop spots.
Only hand between H+V. Hero calls UTG raise on BTN with 2 callers in between, V calls in BB. Checked to hero who bets 20bb on J

. Villain calls and then check folds after 45s to 40bb on A
turn.
Onto the hand...
Hero (~£380) straddles to £2, villain (~£250) makes it £7 in HJ (8 handed), CO & BTN call. Folds to me and I make it £37 with K

. Villain thinks for 10-15s and calls, others fold. This is my first 3bet in quite a while.

I bet £40, villain thinks around 20s and calls.
Turn (£170): 4
I go for over optimistic CRAI, villain checks behind quite quickly.
River (£170): 6
I grab chips without counting and bet £90. Villain shoves after 5-10s. I asked the dealer for a count and V quickly tells me it's £151 total. Dealer counts it down and it's actually £176, so £86 more to call. Player seemed to have genuinely thought he had £151.
Apologies if this is a snap call to most. I spent quite a while thinking about it so thought it was worth posting.
