Main villain is an "old man coffee" type of guy in his mid 60's.
Played poker all his life, and doesn't make big mistakes postflop.
Never seen him make a bluff in a big pot.

Other villain(V2) is a 30 ish semi pro who isn't very good.

1-2 and £400 effective

Hero open 88 from EP to 12
V2 calls
OMC calls on the button

39 Ad8d4c
Hero cbet 30 and they both calls.

129 6d
Hero checks
V2 bets 45
OMC and hero calls.

264 Kr
Hero checks
V2 checks
OMC bets 75

OMC hand range will be fairly solid here.
He doesn't call super wide for 12, and if I were to guess he would be more likely to flat AK instead of squeezing it.
I'm not sure if he would bet the river though.

Am I good often enough here to make the call?

Yeah, I think I make this sigh call here. I think around 1/2 pot is the sizing you can consider folding this river. Obviously the stronger your read on the player, the smaller bets you can consider folding to. OMC's tend to bet size relative to the strength of their hand, so I would expect a more nutted hand to size up. This smells like either a baby flush or some weaker 2 pair or set going for value.

Your going to lose most of the time, but the odds are too good to fold.

I’m almost more worried about about V2, who showes up with a small flush a lot here. I think his turn lead is a blocking bet to try to get to show down.

Ad on board reduces chance anyone has a flush.

OMC I know in my game tend to raise their small flushes on the turn here. Combined with OMC small river bet and I don't think he has a flush all the time here.

What does V2 have: I guess a small flush makes sense - easy to get scared when you're called I'm two spots on turn and makes sense to go for a check call on river. Could V2 do this with AQ/AJ? Seems a bit dangerous and unlikely but I wouldn't rule it out. Two-pair with A6s is possible but you block 86s. I don't imagine V2 fails to raise flop with a flopped 2-pair or a set with 44. He could have 75s too.

So what is OMC happy to call turn but bets only 1/3rd pot on river? AK, particularly with Kd. 44 is essentially the same hand as AKxd. A6s seems a bit too weak to bet river even if it even calls flop and turn. Though he might raise his flushes on turn he could easily call too.

It's not a fun spot despite the small sizing. You can be beat by either player but could be ahead of both. I think you should call here because good odds but I also really want to see OMC's hand since these guys generally aren't attempting any kind of balance so any extra info on the exact nature of their ABC play can be quite valuable.

I doubt V2 can have either nut-flush or KdXx for the nut-flush bluff so I don't think he's X/Ring here very often so a call is relatively safe.

Call and let OMC show you his nut-flush LOL

I like a bet/fold here. OMC won’t raise anything but a strong flush and we’re calling any reasonable bet anyway. Set your own price. $60?

I like the line so far (I would have bet less on the flop, though). Now call river given such a good price with a strong disguised hand. He might be value betting AK on the river here.
