Heros thinking is if he has j10 or maybe AJ spades he re raises turn same with an 8 he could have 99 but the q is also a good bluffing card so don't think it's a plain easy fold

fold.

Why would he raise the turn with j10? AJ is probably c/c.

Everything in the world just got there. V shouldn't be bluffing here unless he is super aggro.

Looks like an easy fold.
Think about this: the flop is checked to you and you bet.
V in the sb has no idea if anyone is calling behind him - has only invested 11 so far - and knows he will have to play oop for the rest of the hand.
Most "good players" will fold here unless they have a monster.

My guess is V flopped a boat and shoves on the river hoping you've got a flush. Or he was check/calling on a flush draw (although if that's the case, I don't think he's a "good player.")

Either way, I rarely see this bet as a bluff, especially after you've shown that you're committed to your hand. So it has to be a value shove with a hand that most likely crushes your AK.

I don't ever like c-betting A high into 4 villains post flop. As played though, easy fold unless you have a great read/history of villain making moves on river when scare card hits. Don't see that level of thinking at 1/2 very often though....

This is a good post thanks.
I did call and he mucked his hand and I won but the reason for the thread was in general after thinking bout it this is an awful play and I don't think he would actually be bluffing a lot but wanted to check thanks for the posts all

I wouldn't cbet this board 5-ways. I would fold river pretty quickly and not think much about it.

Arguably the worst board in the world to c-bet. Flush draw, straight draw, smashes their ranges, misses yours, not even a backdoor draw for us. And 4 opponents...yikes!

Also, this is weird of me, but I'd actually check back the turn, planning to bet most rivers. Now that we have some SDV I'd like to recognize it cheaper. I'm okay with getting 2 streets of value with TPTK unless my villain is a calling station or passive/face-up player (then I'll b/f three streets). Wondering if that's too nitty.

I'd fold on the nut worst river card unless the villain is a maniac or I had some other read. The problem with calling here is that there are so few draws that missed. If it was an off-suite queen or a 2 I'd be more likely to call since we just need to be good here >28% of the time. It's good that you won, but I'm not sure calling here is profitable.
