I'd like to become good at 3-betting. It seems to be a great way to get stacks and hold a big edge over opponents. I don't really understand how to use it.

I understand that all bets are fundamentally used to either get value from worse hands, or to bluff better hands off their value. My understanding is that using a basic strategy of 3-betting KK+, AK and A5s would put closer to an optimal 3-bet value/bluff frequency where I would collect some extra BB from bluffs. However, I know that there are better 3-betting strategies that could yield far more profit than this simple strategy ever could.

How can I fully understand and learn good 3/4/5-betting strategies to crush my opponents? 3-betting resources seem to be very scarce or abstract. I have read Ronin's 3-betting post and am hungry for more. https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/1...g-3bet-988213/

The only way to get good at it is to start doing it. The more experience you get the more you will figure out what works and what doesnt.

Anyone can 3 bet premiums, but when 3 betting lite, its more important WHO you are 3 betting than what you are 3 betting with. Also, the more you 3 bet lite, the more you will get your premiums paid off when you 3 bet them.

Bolded for importance... 3bet lighter against people who are afraid to throw down postflop with marginal hands. Don't 3b old guys who are only raising premiums. It's also a good isolation tactic against spewtards who raise a lot preflop and punt their stacks postflop.
