Reliable Live Tells? Reliable Live Tells?

Hero ~$250 MP
V covers (~$350) SB

V is a 30 y/o hispanic guy who is talkative. He isn't playing too loose but not too nitty either.

Hero should be seen maybe similarly. Hero just lost a big pot where he x/c a river bet on a 4-flush board with the K high flush and another villain had the nut flush.

UTG limps
Hero raises $20 AhKd
CO calls
V is talking and laughing with his neighbor, looks down at his cards, and SNAP 3-bets to $65. Like 0 hesitation from the moment he saw his cards and the moment he began to grab a stack of chips.

Obviously with just 80bb a jam can't be terrible. But is this a reliable tell? If villain was 3-betting light, or 3-betting the bottom of a standard 3-bet range like JJ/QQ, seems like you would at least pause and look at who raised, how many in the hand, etc.

Thoughts on both this type of live tell, and also the hand?

Yes people very rarely snap- anything with the nuts except calling a rivershove. Go min 4bet though so he can occasionally school you by folding and showing a pair that dodged your 'obvious' Aces.

There is actually an entire poker section dedicated to live tells. You really should be posting in there and reading in that section.

When people look at their cards, typically if they look at them really fast and put them back down. It's actually a tell of strength for a lot of people.

And for some, in the way in which they put chips in the pot will be a tell or how they announce raise.

You're playing at a 1-3 game, which typically does not see much 3betting unless players are strong. Is that generally the case in this game?

If so, just fold. Villain is 3betting you from the blinds, you're either way behind or marginally behind. Given the context, it doesn't seem like he is 3bet/folding. You've invested $20 in the pot on a drawing hand.

More likely V looked at his cards before and made a plan, then pretended that this was the first time he looked at them. Also, snap action (except for calls of AIs) is rarely nutted. I don't pay much attention to this tell, and just play the hand as you normally would.
