Hey guys new to the forum here but long time lurker. Been on a bit of a downswing lately and trying to figure out if I am burning $$$ in a few spots. A big part of my hourly in these 2/3 $300 max buy in games is getting max value with my stronger holdings. Perhaps I need to not be so trigger happy? Or am I being too results oriented? Anyways onto the hands..

Hand #1 is a Splash Pot. Its a promotional thing where they put $20 in the pot preflop

Effective stacks are 275ish

Hero is in the BB with AJo

Villain is a loose middle aged rec player UTG+2 raises to 20

2 callers and I call

Flop($100) J 4 2r

I check and villain leads for 25. Folds around and I call.

Turn($150) Q

I check. Villain bets 30. I call

River($210) A

I check and villain bets 50 with about 150 behind.. Hero???

Hand #2

Hero is in the straddle with J9o

4 callers and I check my option

Flop($30) 9 4 2r

Villain in SB donks 18. He had just sat down so no real reads. Middle age Mexican guy who didn't strike me as a serious player.

I call and it folds around. Heads up to the turn.

Turn($66) Q

Villain bets 35 and I call

River($136) 9

Villain bets 45 with 100 behind. I have him covered.. Hero???

Hand #3

Hero is in the SB with 66. There were a few limps to the villain on the BTN who was a very active LAG. Villain raises to $25 and I flat. We go heads up to the flop

Flop($59) 3 4 7r

I donk $35 and villain calls

Turn($129) 6

I check and villain bets $80. I call

River($289) J

I check and villain bets $120 and I have about $200 left.. Hero???

Thanks for all the input in advance!

Hand 1 and hand 2 are both shoves for me.

Hand 3 I probably just call. Hard for V to call river without a straight.

These hands have more issues than the river. I recommend posting individually.

Could you maybe elaborate a little bit? In the first two hands I'm not trying to bloat the pot OOP with just top pair until I improve on the river. Bloating the pot with top pair has been a leak of mine in the past. And like I said, a large portion of my hourly in these games comes from getting max value with my stronger holdings, and playing smaller pots with holdings that have good showdown value, and not getting too out of line with TPTK type hands on dry boards because it is often hard to get called by worse. I will play them more aggressively on wet boards to charge the draws.

Hand #3 I may find a fold pre vs a different opponent, but against this LAG I am often very ahead of his range pre, and can set mine/use as a bluff catcher post flop.

My thought process/strategy may be wrong. So I would be curious to hear what issues you see. Thanks!

LOL. I think this would be funnier if OP didn't edit his post to nothing.

OP apparently double posted, and his gimmick got OTB&C'd. Merged...
