Dream Crusher is such a fitting name for you...

but otoh you’re like the internet older brother I wish I had irl so it’s fine.

I get my parents reservations but otoh I’m not sure I’ve literally ever let them down (in any significant way) so I’m pretty sure it’ll work out if I go that route.

'Welp.' I thought that bar I drove by had closed early even for a Monday. But when I got to Globogym there was a sign on the door, Closed by Order of the State Governor. Yep, on Monday afternoon he decided that we needed a second lockdown. Only this month will be @110 Farenheit so running outside is not very appealing.

I got that reaction at the barbershop in Toledo. But could that man cut hair, it was like chiseling and ice sculpture.

Think this may have even happened pre-corona when USA#1 was put on some countries travel advisory lists due to their daily mass shootings.

ETA: Although by the looks of it our N.S. mass shooting earlier this year trumps anything that has happened in the USA#1 recently by a significant margin. *sigh*

I got a similar haircut when my friend took me to his local spot in Baltimore. My hair looked like the beetle from Super Mario Bros.

Meh. Most Yanks think we're a bunch of maple syrup drinking, curling stone throwing, toque wearing, igloo living hosers so they never want to come up north anyway.

I think we're safe. For now.

It seems if I could get in with an American Driver's License then it's not actually a country.

I had long forgotten that the turtles were actually called beetles. Does that mean he made you bald?

More like my hair was cut into the shape of the shell.

If you are in Az (sounds like it), check out Mountainside Fitness chain. The owner is staying open (per an employee) and suing Gov. Ducy to stay open.

This is second or third hand info, so take it for what it's worth ($.02 or less)

You could also braise or sear followed by slow cooker / crock pot

I default to thinking everyone on in the internet is lazy, stoopid, and unsuccessful in the same way you think everyone is a troll until proven otherwise

I don’t play for a living. I did for a <2 year period after college, but mostly out of necessity due to the job market (and some laziness).

I eventually got a job but continued to play ~5 times per week until I was 27-28, typically playing until 2-3am and getting up for work at 6/7am and doing it all over again. Now I’m a rec player that gambools it up and holds my own playing mid stakes - lower end of high (unsure where the start is tbh). I work a bajillion hours so my poker habit waxes and wanes as time allows. The quarantine has actually allowed me to play more than I have in years since there are games available every day / night.

My roll was built grinding it up / not funded by work, but having a job affords me the ability to play with less fear and enjoy the game more.

Sorry to disappoint. As someone that has lived on both sides, being a pro poker player < having a steady gig + playing poker on the side.

There are certainly a few regs in this thread that are very successful and have done quite well for themselves as pros. With that being said, I’d be surprised if any of them would recommend it as a career.
