Of course I wouldn't loan any money to a degenerate gambler, but there are people I'd trust with six figures and all of them are poker players. In general I find it a lot easier to hang out with poker players because no one is gonna obsess over who owes who $10 because they ordered an extra appetizer at a group dinner.
somewhere in Canada there's a guitar playing, deck building poker player who begs to differ

It's not the net rake as much as that they snatch it all on the flop in Californica. I've pulled in $1 pots and tipped 100%. Actually CAZ used to do that to before they changed the 1/2 into a 2/3.

I think this is more a financial situation than a poker thing, i'm sure if you spent more time with 1-2 grinders you'd be getting venmo requests because they recalled you got extra guac but split bill evenly

spent ample time with both groups, the cultural divide is massive, i learned the hard way why to never have broke roomates ever again

I was going to initially disagree, but then realized that the number of people who aren't degenerate gamblers but want to take a personal loan for 6 figures from an acquaintance is a null set.

Yeah, I mean it's so simple, you simply keep track of how many of each appy each person had (note to self on million dollar idea: Appy Tracking App), obviously add/dock an appropriate percentage based on whether specific piece was ate hot versus cold / size of piece / etc., apply same percentages to tax and tip, minus/plus an appropriate percentage based on whether you're sitting in the good seat with a view / bad seat staring at the wall, and sort it out 9 ways and done.

Don't really enjoy painting, and I find it much more difficult than staining, and I would probably never do myself for anything important cuz I suck at it. But it is a halfway enjoyable way of giving myself something to do while listening to the iPod. Both pieces turned out white; checked on them this morning, still white. Will apply second coat of white tonight so that they become even whiter.

What's the term for when you listen to the new album by your fave band of the last ~30 years and realize that only 2 songs out of 12 are worthy of the iPod?

I get what you say about painting being unenjoyable. An hour of setup and an hour of cleanup for 20 minutes of work, it seems like.

Still, it needs to be done, so we tackle projects we don't enjoy.

It's not too bad if I can keep the whole thing to a respectable time; think I only puttered on it for an hour and a half or so. Too much beyond that though and I just want to move on to doing something else.

Never mind that Colorado trip. Just read the rake is 10% with no cap.

Oh, but at the room's own discretion.

You can kind of tell that collectively, nobody really cares about rake, just by how vague it is described.

That's the state regulation's max, as far as I understand it. Each room sets their own.

The hair was removed. I grew it as a reminder that no matter how bad things were they were not as bad as when I was at my bottom after my accident and if I made it that far surely I could go another day. No longer need a reminder so its gone.

LOL I can totally dig it. You will notice that the wings are all spread out nicely and in an organized fashion. You can see that they are a varying heights up the hill. So you start on flat ground and gradually work your way up, getting a little moar air time as you progress. The beautiful thing about the point is that the wind is insanely consistent. So although you can get in over your head and have issues it is really really tame and an ez place to learn. So if any yall have any interest - come say hi to uncle skwid and ill get u you the schveet hookup

the one saving grace of Nit-Republics such as Las Vegas is that they watch the rake like a hawk, usually a pure 10% with a cap. Of course Foxwoods CT was better at under 10% with the same cap.
