like you i'm usually a generous tipper but i've never tipped at blackjack and only ship a dealer a small chip if it's a major pot but that's easier to get away with in asia where nobody tips in general

tipping in blackjack just feels wrong, I remember in mohegan sun when i was just barely old enough to get in playing blackjack and it astounded me people losing piles of cash were regularly handing $10 chips to the person taking away that money - also got berated by people at the table for doing things like hiting a soft 13 when the dealer shows a 6 because "i was taking the bust card" - another benefit of asia is they won't berate people at the tables for things like that

a massive problem for advantage play is your edge is skinny. Tipping buys you nothing in terms of cover or regards to influencing decision makers (those who will let u play). AND no matter how much you tip it will be viewed by the dealers as not enough. Dealer, "I gave that guy x in one shoe and he only tipped me y" The tip they expect is frequently greater than the ev generated. There is also a culture pressure to tip at the blackjack table. We have to have a zero tipping policy there. If left to players they would literally tip away a significant portion of our ev generated (which happened in the early days of the team and caused a hefty debate)

Oh, I forgot about that. That was the second or third meetup. First meetup I wasn't dancing yet, and that was the connection. I think I might have asked her to go dancing. She was way married though.

Course in the days between now and then, I've heard it's easier to hook up with married women than single ones.
