2/5 NL

preflop
UTG aggro makes it 15/2100. UTG+1 calls /1100.
SB also calls /900. Hero raises QQ to $80/1100 in BB.

UTG pauses, asks for stack size and calls. UTG+1 also calls. SB shrugs his shoulders and calls.

Flop (320): 735

SB check. Hero checks? UTG, UTG+1 checks.

Turn (320): 2

SB now leads 125. Hero calls? UTG and UTG+1 fold.

River (570): T

SB bets 225. Hero?

Without knowing something more specific about SB this is a call. Once you check flop he can easily be betting worse for value. This isn't exactly happy since SB did bet into 3 people on the turn but your hand is too good to give up.

Against some SB players you could fold when they lead turn. If your calling turn you should be calling river against almost everybody.

Even though it's foolish, many players will think that a pair of sevens or an overpair like 99 is the absolute stone cold nuts here and would still be betting on ninth street if they could. A good player would have slowed down when you showed resistance, correctly taking your preflop reraise into account.

So my unhelpful advice is: call a moron. Fold to a good player.

BTW there is no way on God's green earth I would have checked the flop. I don't want some nimrod with 76 to get there at no charge.

Spoiler:
Hero called. V in SB showed 64 for a flopped straight.

What's V's range to barrel river when a spade hits after the initial raiser already called one street?

Bigger pre, check flop, call turn, call or raise river as bluff with good spade blocker. Would be nice to know what kind of player SB is.

One of the hardest things in poker to understand is that in the long run, the villain is losing the war. You want this villain to call your 3 bets every single time with this type of hand. The villain won $640 if you called on the river. He spent $65 pf calling your raise. He got a 10:1 return. Unfortunately for him, he was a 20:1 underdog to hit 2 pair + on the flop. He's going to be losing money to you.

It is even better than he considers himself a thinking player, because he looked at your stack before calling. Fully expect that you'll hear from him in the future about how he "runs bad" at the table. This type of player you can fully manipulate.
