QQ in SB after 3-bet (1/2 NL) QQ in SB after 3-bet (1/2 NL)

I'm in SB with QQ (400 deep), MP (losing player, 300 deep) opens for 8, BTN (160 deep) 3-bets to 25. BTN is decent, winning player. I'm regular, winning player at this table and have a rather TAG image. MP will open pp, broadways, sc, Axs, KXs etc. BTN is 3-betting with JJ+, AK, maybe AQs since he knows that MP is fish. Any advice?

Thanks

Always a tricky spot facing 3bets pre with qq before the action gets to you. No options look good. Folding sucks because your hand is so strong. Calling is bad because it basically narrows your range to either qq/ak very early in the hand (which is compounded by being oop so opponents can basically play perfect post flop poker vs you). And raising for value is difficult because almost all worse hands fold and all better hands are about to win your stack.

However, in this situation, Villain is only 80 bigs deep, and very likely could be isolating the losing player with a less than premium hand. I would think in this situation, the correct play is to 4b and get it in by either calling his pf jam or bet/calling otf.

The other benefit of 4b over calling is that you are likely to shut mp out of the pot which is great because you get to avoid playing a vulnerable hand oop for 150bb eff.

Crappy spot but I'm probably 4betting to $85 and getting it in regardless.

Thanks guys,

I decided to 4bet to 100, MP folded and BTN went all in. He had AKs.

grunch: 4 bet to 75 and look relaxed.

not sure what i'd do to a shove, gut check but probably calling it off pre.
