1/2 NLHE
Hero - Fat White Male Reg Up about 100 at this point. Only one hand that has really shown down where I called a bluff with 2nd pair.

Villain 1 50 year old man. Nicely dressed. Waiting for the PLO game. Has been stacked once already and is calling with any piece all the way down. Raising large preflop with big holdings.

Villain 2 60 year old man. Golf hat. Loose passive pre and post. Has been playing back with Villain 1.

OTTH

Folded to Hero in MP with QcQs. Hero opens to $10.
Villain 1 in Cutoff calls.
Villain 2 in SB calls. All others fold.

Flop - 7s 6d 5h ($32 pot)
SB checks. Hero checks. Villain 1 bets $30. SB calls. Hero???

Obviously I could have c-bet the flop. I chose not to do so to keep the pot small. The board is fairly wet and I have 2 very stationy players.

Seems a small open. Is that normal in your game? I can pretty much always at least get away with $12 without raising suspicions/lowering calling ranges.

I would usually bet this flop. It's pretty wet, and we'll get value from 1p and SDs. AP, I'd likely call and re-eval turn. Raising is overplaying our hand, and given V descriptions, we are often up against 1p/SD vs bare SD.

The game has a wide range for opening. $7 on occasion but usually $10-$12 is the standard open without limpers. $15 - $20 with limpers.

Considered betting the flop but I wanted to keep the pot small oop vs sticky opponents. I guess bet/folding vs these player types cant be wrong.

What are stack sizes? Flat calls seems best but if stacks are not deep your likely close to committed on the turn. If that is the case then shove or fold now might be better.

It's more likely you are facing a pair+sd or two pair then a flopped straight but you probably don't want to push the action. If you raise/shove you probably only get called if you are behind. There are not may clean run outs but your hand is too good to give up.

Bet the flop. You're missing value. As played, call.

I'm in the 'bet flop' camp as well.

As played, folding is off the table and I'm not shoving unless I don't have much more behind so calling seems best.

Effective stacks would be nice. Not betting flop is a mistake. Overpairs are our money makers. If passive villains than this is a standard bet/fold.

Looking back, I think this is a bet/fold. I think I was overthinking it a bit.

I disagree about missing value. It is possible but I had a plan to extract value on later streets and keeping the pot small with one pair on a wet board vs calling stations.
