Villain- hard to range considering he plays way to many hands. defends way to wide even oop. doesn't give up on pots easy but up to this point I wouldn't say he has done anything that would consider him a maniac. Super talkative and constantly making jokes. Nice guy but wont shut the **** up. Keeps making jokes at me because I have been raising his straddle a lot. Truth is I'm just getting solid hands on the button. Has a tendency to value own himself. When you have the betting lead he is super passive however once checked to he rarely checks back.

Hero- my image is def tag considering not to many of my hands have gone to showdown. Gameflow has me and villain playing a lot of pots together.

My stack in this hand is roughly 500 effective.

OTH

v1(main villain) straddles 4$

v2(MP) calls 4$

Hero(BTN) QQ makes it 25$

blinds fold

v1(main villain) calls 25$

v2(MP) folds

heads up

Pot= 57$

Flop- 865

v1- checks

Hero- I considered checking since this smashes his calling range. However he is more passive when you take the lead.

As played

Hero- bets 35$

v1- calls 35 $ makes a comment "here we go again"

Pot= 127$

Turn- 10

v1- checks

Hero- bets 75$ thoughts???? checking IMO would be way to nitty

v1- snaps all in for roughly 385$ total

I usually don't get big into conversation with opponents however in this hand it happened naturally. I start to tank and look at him and he looks very nervous. I make the comment saying, " don't worry I think im going to fold so you are good" He just smirks and goes right back to looking paranoid.

I ask him why he looks so nervous. He doesn't respond. I then say I cant tell if you look nervous because you are bluffing or just because of the amount of money. He responds something along the lines of im not bluffing and I have more money. I don't say this out loud but I do recall villain is a lawyer so I don't think the money is the issue.

he has transformed from the loudest guy in the room to the quietest and doesn't look comfortable

Thoughts??????????????

I fold.

Board smashes him. I probably check the turn, but if I bet it's to bet/fold. He might be bluffing, but there are better spots to find out.

I agree - The change in demeanor sounds more nutted than being nervous about a big bluff. And given he's passive when not in betting lead, but just CRAI, it looks strong. His wide calling range not only includes all sets here, but also 79 and 810 - Like 810 looks very plausible. And after the turn, you're no longer ahead of pocket 10s. Wait for a better spot. That said, not sure I could fold Qs myself.

Check and bet are both valid on flop, mostly leaning toward a bet. Turn check, AP fold.
