H is recreational thinking player. Respected by regs at least slightly more than recreational fish due to somewhat tight image that allows occasionally to steal pots on scary flops. V1 is somewhat unknown recreational player but hasn't gotten out of line too much. V2 is tight/nit regular, playing for profession, plays more or less straight forward manner and doesn't bluff much. OTTH

Hand: 87o
Position: bb
stack 440
blinds: 2.5/2.5

pre: V1 raises 7.5 from ep. can't recall stack, probably around 350. V2 calls from LJ (covers H). H calls from BB.
flop (25) 8s7sjd: h bets 25. V1 calls. V2 raises to 85. H???

I think 87o is probably a fold pre if not it is close. I'd fold to the nit raise as gross as that sounds. If he doesn't bluff much what are we ahead of? Either we are flipping or crushed.

I fold pre-flop to a rec player and a nit.

Gross, but I fold now to a nit raise, especially with my image. I do like the donk, though.

Fold preflop. 87o isn't a hand you want to play against 2 players OOP in a raised pot.

As played, easy fold, even though it seems tight. V2 is a nit, and he's raising two players, both showing a lot of interest in the pot. Nits generally don't raise draws. V2 usually has a set or a made straight here. And hitting an 8 or a 7 may not be good for you....since it could make V2 a higher full house.

Also, you can't close the action. If you call, V1 will be getting good pot odds to continue. So even if you are ahead of V2, V1 could be on a draw and has a lot of outs. In this spot, you're never a big favorite. You're either flipping or drawing thin, if not close to dead.

Results:
we fold, V1 calls.
turn (195) Qs: checked through.
river: Kh, V1 bets 120. V2 folds. V1 shows AJs. I'm really puzzled what V2 had and whether the fold was inappropriate.

So, V1 hit the nut flush?

V2 could have had a set or 9T and wisely gave up when the flush hit. If V1 didn't have a flush, you need to re-categorize your villains.
