Agreed. In addition as the games get less aggressive preflop and more loose post flop I'm going to buy the button more liberally.
As Venice commented earlier this probably contributes to the late positions having an exponentially higher ROI in most cases, which would promote late position posts while discouraging early position posts, which is also pretty intuitive for most players.
I don't have much more to add except for that if you are a winning aggressive player in a loose passive game it probably pays to join in most cases and the overall loss from posting will really not do much over the long run to hurt your hourly. So play in games where your ideal conditions are met and things will be fine, otherwise take every advantage possible.
