Howdy all- New to these forums but glad I found em!

Me- 39 WM- LAG

GAME 25/25 NL ( mandatory to run twice on all ins- private game)

HERO has pocket aces

HERO ( 180 bbs)
Villian (250 bbs)

Villian UTG opens for 100.
Hero raises 350 on button
Villian calls

2 way action

FLOP- K 10 5--- K 10 both clubs

Villans lead for pot sized bet of 900
Hero jams

Villian ended up having QJ clubs-

Runout - I hit trips on first board, he hit his clubs on second board. Split pot

My thinking was I am ahead in most cases with his range.

If I just call his bets down I win pot outright but my guess is it doesn't get to river ( 3rd ace came on river) most likely anyways. ( turn was a brick 4 hearts)

Anyone else take a different line here? Villian is an ultra-aggressive solid pro.

Will bet any amount of money this is a .25/.25 game and op thinks people will take it more seriously if it's posted as 25/25

From what I understand you aren’t supposed to post results in the original post. Creates biases and kinda takes the fun out of the analysis.

But from my perspective I think it’s well played by you here. Draw heavy board and you’re ahead of his range. Aggressive pro will have a lot of bluffs on a board like this and he has no 2p combos in his range. Also likely doesn’t have KK bc would’ve 4b you pre. 10s are the only hand you’re behind and QJcc is a flip. Shoving beats calling bc there are so many draws.

Sounds like a fun game.

Ahh makes sense! Thank you for clarifying. Yes its a very fun game. We get a couple pro's and 4-5 business guys who have a lot of money that play pretty good and a couple guys like me MAWG's I guess. LOL

I had the same perspective, thank you very much.

Sorry must have been K 9 board. LOL ( he needed the 10 of clubs for the straight flush)

He had the strgt flush draw gutter not open ended. I was more focused on getting all the lingo down to be compliant with how people write on here. I screwed up anyway putting the answer on the question. SMH
