I always read A-k doesn’t play well with multiple players in the pot. If he calls, he risks having multiple callers after him. I think I see Cagey older players smooth call with aces from any position more than they smooth call with ace king. Calling with ace king is the hallmark of a rock who’s afraid to mix it up preflop without a made hand. But this guy wasn’t a rock.
