This hand has been really bothering me and I'm pretty sure it's results oriented thinking because deep down I feel like I played this hand pretty well.

The villain in this hand is pretty standard, betting flops that he hits and folding pocket queens on a king high board that paired the middle card on the turn after it checked around on the flop. He has shown down 2 sets in which he just bet bet bet and he did not raise pocket queens preflop. I have 400 and he has me covered in a 1/2 nl game.

Preflop
V straddles 2 callers to me and I call on the button with 10h10s. Small blind completes and big blind complete, villain announces raise but dealer doesn't hear him and starts to deal the flop. Villain makes a fuss and says he announced a raise and another player vouches for him and says that he saw the bottom card of the flop. I also saw this card which was the 5h. They call the floor and allow the villain to make the raise to $24 and reshuffle the deck to deal. Folds to me and I call, blinds fold and its heads up to the flop.

Flop $64
10d Jc 7c

Villain bets $55. My logic in this spot was that I don't want to see any club, ace, King, queen, 8 or 9 on the turn because they either make a hand better than mine or kill my action so I better get some more money in here. Is it correct to raise in this spot?

raise pre

he bet large enough on the flop that he prob likes his hand enough to peel

$400 eff you can go between $125-175 depending on villain's perception of you and gii ott

Raise pre for sure, we are way ahead of ATC in the straddle.

Villian's pot size bet implies he hit the flop with his ATC, probably a pair since he knows we flatted pre-flop. Not guaranteed but we are entitled to be a little skeptical of his play.

We have to raise, the question is how much, otherwise we are giving a free card.

With Villain's $55 the pot is now $119. A pot sized raise is about right.

And get in it on the turn.

Even in the unlikely event he has 89 and flopped a straight we still have outs.

And even if he binks a gut shot on the turn or river we still need to get it in by the turn.

And if we lose the hand, that's why it's called "gambling". All we can do is get it in with the best, the rest is variance.

Raise turn. Flop is too drawy.

its probably a super easy b/f from your opponents perspective. if you have an incredibly nitty image, which you likely do if you're limping TT OTB and he is paying attention, you are forced to slow play and allow your opponents to value own themselves in spots where they are going to be b/f the majority of their range.
