I understand hating playing deep i guess but this pot is so small until the river that you dont have to worry about that in this particular hand (though you should bet turn). Even if you raise to around 100-125 for value from his 2 pairs or smaller sets, he is probably only 4-betting huge with a straight. This hand against this player is a dream.

You seem to be more in stack preservation mode than making money mode. It happens, at which time I decide I need to leave the table or end the session.

If you're in the making money mode against a villian who'll really play ATC I'm looking to play a big pot here w AA. I'd bet turn and as played river raise is mandatory. IF he's got straight combo's in his range he also has many 2 pair combo's which should want you to play a much bigger pot than you played.

Also fear of a potential 3b on the river is too MIBs. You've made a v strong hand which requires gapped cards in a raised pot to beat. Most of the time he either calls or folds your raise. i don't like fearing the least likely outcome here.

you know yourself best. certainly just calling here is better than 3-bet/folding incorrectly, or 3-bet/calling incorrectly -- especially if you don't feel comfortable against this guy.

at the same time, you do have the second nuts here...

something to add: i imagine he's a (physical) read based player, and the reason you got bluff 3-bet was because you were so nervous when you raised the river in the first place. virtually all profitable atc players are (read based players).

2p2 is filled with cynics. if you're crushing the came, even if you're not playing optimally, obv continue doing so. the majority of 2p2 posters are losing players, even if they happen to know how to play optimally in this specific hand

Look man if you and the "way above average $1/2 player" have $850 and all the fish have $200 you need to get a table change or just cash out. You have $650 at the table that can only be up against another good players $650 - that's not what you want. Put your ego aside, cash out and go get something to eat. Re-buy for $200 after the required time has passed. It's clearly affecting the way you play at this table.
