Pair of tens facing river shove for 150bb Pair of tens facing river shove for 150bb

Played this 1/2 hand the other night.

Villain is tight-aggressive. Usually open-raises or re-raises pre if he plays a hand. I've seen him re-raise from button and blinds many times, once he showed Q9s after re-raising pre. Villain has about $250. Hero covers by $70.

Hero is probably viewed as tight-aggressive as well.

OTTH:

Hero opens to $6 from MP with AT.
Folds to Villain in SB who raises to $21. I call.

Flop ($44) is T94

Villain c-bets for $23. I call.

Turn ($90) is 5.

Villain bets again for $44.

I put him on a range of all the big pocket pairs and most combinations of high cards over ten and 99, because of how he's been playing. I block pocket Aces and Tens well and obviously AK, AQ, AJ, but not as heavily. So I call hoping he gives up on the river.

River ($178) is another blank, 4.

Villain thinks for a while before announcing a vocal all-in for his remaining $155.

Call or fold?

This looks like a fold to me. I fold to the re-raise with ATo, and this hand is why.

If you have some spidey-sense that he's bluffing, you can call, but I just let it go.

4b preflop or fold

As played, I probably call, begrudgingly. You're probably getting just good enough of a price to call here against AK, and other random bluffs.

Yeah I fold pre too, but against someone this loose with their re-raises pre, I called. I was thinking a pair of Aces would be good and there was a good chance he'd give up on low boards on the turn.

This is a fold pre for me, but as played I sigh/call because there's enough random QJ/KJ, AK/AQ in his range, and you are at the top of your calling range.

I did end up calling, partly because after thinking for a long time I noticed his heart rate was still high.

He had KJs.

Grunch

4bet PF easy. Call is bad.

Vs this guy this is a crystal clear call. Not that I would really have this hand, but I would call as wide as A9 here.
