$2/$5

PAHWMF....Play a hand with my friend. This is a friend's hand.

Hero ($550) opens $20 UTG+1 QcQd. Hero has a pretty nitty rep.
EP (covers) calls. Hes a bad LAG...a very bad LAG. Probably 30/20? Bluffs constantly. Stuck $2K in a short time.
MP (covers) calls. He's pretty passive pre flop but very aggro post flop. He bets anytime he suspects weakness. Doesn't understand ranges/ pot odds or any of that stuff. He just tries to win pots with aggression.

All players have many hours played together.

Flop ($60) JcTs9c....Hero's action?

I’d prefer $25-30 pre depending on the table, but this is fairly minor details.
I think I would also check flop here.

I’m not against checking flop. But I think I set my price here and bet $40.

Only check if you think we'll get bet into > 90% of the time so we can x/r.

So if we are not comfortable with x the bet pot.

Given reads, seems like a x/r will work fine. Probably x/shove.

I'm trying to stack off here.

XR is not advisable.

Since we block a lot of semibluff candidates,

I like leading. Maybe as low as $25 to allow some friskness but also gain some protection

Just how nitty is your friend? That is important with players that know each other well. If his opening range early is basically TT+, AQ+, this flop smashed it. A x/r is going to signal significant strength. With the two morons in the hand who are going to attack it if he checks, I'd x/c and look to get another street of action on the turn.

You know you can’t “lead” when you are the PF raiser? It’s just a cbet.

Sigh. I miss when 2+2 was actually worth visiting

I like xr. Though i should really say check/eval as sizing and whether there is an overcall could lead me to prefer a call.

Obviously this. C/r might actually be worse than c/f

Here are 80-90% of the hands that continue against a x/r here:
Sets, two pairs, made straights, and A-J, J-Q (those last two being very optimistic and unlikely against solid V’s against a nitty Hero).

Mike. Since this isn’t your hand and despite you know what’s to come, you’re welcome to post what your own thoughts were if care to. You can give what your opinion was as the hh unfolded to you originally.

He's not quite as tight/nitty as people think but hes def too tight for my tastes. I guess we can call him ABC TAG.
