Flop I'd consider raising to $100-125. It makes for a less than ideal SPR on later streets, however you are a even money against all non-set hands. Raising gives you the opportunity to take the pot down now and if you are called, you still have significant equity to hit. If Villain ships allin on top of our raise, then that sucks and you need decide if you want to gamble. Your description of him leads me to believe that TPGK is in his range. However calling the $25 isn't awful.

Turn, I recommend calling. If you hit your spade you're likely good - 7 clean outs, and then 2 more that pair the board. Yes everyone is afraid of and well aware when a flush hits, but the Villain may not be able to let a big hand go and pay you off. Say you make your flush OTR and he checks to you, I think he would have a very hard time folding a set or 2 pair if you're only betting 1/3-1/2 pot like $125-$150.
I do not see people getting money in with worse hands as a problem as it is.
There is very little money in the pot with manadatory stakes, compared to the stacks and the table is live, people are gambling so I valued pot control pre over thinning down the field that might or might not have worked.

I am not playing for 250 BBs with NFD on the flop I hope I am better post-flop than this.

PAHWM River
UTG - H [520] recently has been involved in a few middle-sized pots with mixed results.
UTG++ - A couple loose-passive players with comparatively small stacks [200ish].
MP - V3 [600] Has been bleeding chips since I’ve seated, but has just killed AA with a set.
HJ - V2 [400] Freshly rebought after getting stacked by V1.
BU - V5 [320] The old gentleman is the tightest player at the table by far.
SB - V1 [covers] Is still very vocal how V2 has paid him the whole way. Drinking some whickey with me and V4. Well, he drinks five times faster when we do, but we keep h8m company.
BB - V4 [550] Has been tighter/card dead recently, talking a lot and being friendly with everyone.

The game is quite deep, there has been a round of straddles recently, but some players objected to continuing, and V1 declared that either everyone will straddle or he won’t. He resorted to just raising more when he raises pre (he does that, too).

So, the Hero wakes up under the gun with AQ and ..?

Folding is obviously not an option. I also do not want to brew a huge pot OOP. Especially beacuse I will likely not get HU with two guys who would likely call me lighter than usual in position for ego reasons and V1 who is playing more or less anything remotely playable. I go for standard for this deep game smallish EP bet.

Pre Flop
Hero raises 7$.
V3 calls 7$.
V2 folds.
Others fold.
V1 instacalls.
V4 contemplates for a few seconds and calls.
Flop:
Pot: 28$
954
V1 immediately throws in a single green chip - bets 25$.
V4 calls 25$.
Hero calls 25$.
V3 calls 25$.
Turn:
954T
Pot: 128$
V1 checks.
V4 thinks for 30 seconds and bets 85$.
Hero tank folds
V3 calls 85$.
V1 calls 85$.
River:
Pot: 383$
954TJ
V1 checks.
V4 bets 195$ (Just under half of her remaining chips)
V3 snap calls.
V1 folds 45 face-up moaning how they got lucky to outdraw him.
V4 shows TT.
V3 mucks.

Overall I like how I played that hand, but possibly I am just results - oriented.

Any ideas on V3 hand? I am likely to play him again. I don’t think overpairs are ever in his range.

V3 looks like a passively played overpair that he tried to "trap" with. Why do you think he doesn't have any in his range? He could have T9 here also. Nothing else really comes to mind.

Well played hand, I think it's pretty standard, except open a bit bigger next time - $10-12.

Seems to me like you played it fine. I think even if you knew that they would both call behind you, you probably still have to fold turn. You would have been getting over 4:1 immediate odds but that wouldn't have been enough.

I think V3 likely had 2 spades that included the jack. Maybe he even had JTss or J9ss.
