Ok, that's fair, plenty is too strong a word. I'm genuinely trying to look at both sides here.

So are you acting under the assumption that both V's flop ranges are mostly better flush draws and hands that are just too weak to call a turn bet but unlikely to outdraw us on the river since they almost never have 2 pair, a lone spade or a straight and therefore we should be checking for value to bluff catch and call all rivers except for possibly one of the 6 spades that beat us?
Are you betting on safe rivers if checked to? Betting on paired river?

I guess I think you are narrowing the V's flop range too much but I can also be overestimating how weak they'll call a turn bet. I'm just not fully convinced that either V is calling only with better and folding all worse on the turn.

Yeah, this is basically what I'm saying. If they're droolers, ok, fine, maybe there is some lol hands in their range that they somehow got to the turn with and they'll somehow call perhaps turn and river bets in a 3way pot; but they would have to be world class droolers. And I do play with some world class droolers, so against them, a bet is fine. But if we're not up against world class droolers, then based on the play so far, we're most likely WA/WB on the turn. I'm definitely betting the river if checked to, where mediocre hands are much more likely to look me up (rather than on the turn) since their stack is no longer at risk and I've shown weakness on the turn.
