Overpairs facing donk/donk/donk on superwet boards? Overpairs facing donk/donk/donk on superwet boards?

Okay so I just played a hand where I raised AdAs in LP pre, and got a call from a high VPIP tricky fish in the blinds.

Board comes QJ9hh5s5h and he just donk/donk/donks into me for 3 streets for ~1/2-2/3 PSBs that I call down (which is the standard play obv, never folding vs this fish).

He probably had Qx and I'm wondering if I lost value by not playing exploitative and raising any street? I obv didn't raise flop because even if he's donking with a hand like pair+SD otf, I would be in a sick spot if he b/3b (which he's very capable of) or if he b/calls and bluffs scary cards on later streets. A lot of his donkbets are not too far behind AA. So raising is just kinda gambling, as he's never folding.

Also, maybe I should have picked up on his 1/2 PSB river sizing, because he'd always go higher with flush/straights there... but that's still a very thin raise OTR.

River is a call. Seems routine. You should know what he had if you called down

He asked "aces?" so I flipped over my hand before he did. He mucked.

Yeah I think you played it fine. Not raising flop mainly because so many of his hands have really good equity even if you're technically ahead. Also it's not impossible that he had a counterfeited 2p, you know. Definitely make him show.

I'm happy to call down in this situation and think it's standard. Don't think you're losing value if you get three 1/2-2/3 PSB with an overpair on a wettish board. Don't like raising prior to river because you'll slow him down, and once the flush comes in on the river it's hard to go for thin value, though he could have a hand like QJ/J9 that you now beat.

The only mistake you made was showing first and not waiting to see his hand.

Whenever our hands hold up, we think we missed value. When our premiums are cracked in a spot like this, we pat ourselves on the back and say we lost the minimum.
