1/2NL at the local casino. Usual crowd, love to see flops and will limp with almost ANY two cards.
When I’m in position and it’s limped around to me, what’s the correct play with low PP’s and/or sc’s???
Are these hands more profitable raising pre vs limping? Or not.
Also, at what point do sc’s go from a possible call to a raise? J10s or QJs, are these also calling hands in a limp pot? Or would raising be the optimal play?

These questions cant be answered in absolute terms, as they depend on so many factors. Like what kind of villain you are up against. How deep are the stacks. And alot more.

But some guidelines is always good. Small PP need to bink a set for it to be a good flop, so i prefer to limp those as a default. If deeper stacks and playing with the same regs alot i like to mix in raises with them some portion of the time for better board coverage in raised pots. Suited connectors usually also need some money behind to gain good playability, as it often need to be played out over several streets to realize its potenial/equity. Raising them against tighter more conservative players with a fold button, its better than raising them against looser more callhappy players.

J10s and QJs are pretty strong suited broadway hands, and i would raise those in position against limpers pretty much every time unless the limpers is very shortstacked.

It depends. How do they play post? If they are fit-or-fold, you should be raising to "steal the calls" and make it potentially possible to stack them if you hit (for example) a set on an ace-high board. If they are super sticky post, you should limp along with huge IOs and wait until you hit to bloat the pot.

When facing these situations i often ask myself as an exercise: How am i gonna make money in this hand? Why do i play x hand right now? Why do i limp this hand? Why do i raise it?

If you do this couple of times youre forced to come up with arguments for a certain line, and its easier to get som clarity on _why_ you are doing things instead of just clicking buttons.

I understand that there are a lot of factors to live play.
The usual V’s are spewwy fish who love straddling, calling off made hands and very rarely play tight.
I am ALWAYS deep stacked at the table. I will usually reload as soon as I get under 80-90 BB.
