Haven't seen results yet. Nice overpair on a dryish board that doesn't look threatening. Then that unexpected raise on a turn that looks like it could have completed a likely straight. Given the way this vill played, I'd be figuring him for a set if he was the usual rec player, and I could find a fold real easy.
However, this vill isn't a typical rec player.

Villain, seated directly to my left. After I had played an orbit or two, he asked if I normally played at that casino. I said it was only my fifth or sixth time, and he said "Yeah, I don't think I've seen you around". So he's obviously a regular. He's late 50's/60's, looks like Santa Clause. He continues "You're obviously a player, where do you usually play?". I wasn't wearing a hoodie, or headphones, or talking strategy or anything. I think he just sorta has a clue and can tell who's thinking about the game and who isn't.
After running his yap like that, I'd get real suspicious about what he was doing. Now, it looks like he was floating, waiting for a scare card to drop off to steal the pot, especially since the turn can bring a bunch of scare cards. Time to kick it up a notch and take this to Level III, as he seems capable of it, especially if he knows
you're capable of it. Depending on how I read him, I might repop, or I might flat and let him barrel on the river. If he binked a straight, or played a flopped set straight forwardly, oh well. More than enough doubts here to hero call.
