Is it ok to check call this whole way? Is it ok to check call this whole way?

1/2 Harrahs Joliet, IL

V in question is late 60s white guy who has been playing somewhat too loose but uses aggression appropriately. H is young 20s white guy whose image is ok. I have shown down some good hands but recently had to show down a big two barrel bluff that did not work. V just doubled up the H w/ KhJh v. QQ on QhTh6s where V cold flats H 3b pre and then raised gii on flop.

OTTH V has around $300 H covers at $520ish

Pre: 6 limps (including V in EP), H in bb with Th9s cks.

Flop($12): TcTs3c SB leads $10, H calls, V raises to $35, folds all around back to H who calls

Turn($92): TcTs3c8s H cks, V bets $60, H calls

River($212): TcTs3c8sJh H cks, V bets $60, H calls

V shows KcJc. H wins

Just wondering if this was the correct line to take. The downbet on the river was a bit surprising which made me wonder if I can ever raise it for value. But I did not want to be shown a better Ten or 33 etc. Is there ever any merit to raising the river after the small bet? My thought process was multi way we should jus be trying to check call someone who has shown aggression against this many people. Or maybe raise the original bet w/ so many people behind?

Thanks for read.

Pretty standard, imo, nh.

If river comes a club and he makes it 1/2 PSB or more, I'm probably folding, otherwise I'm fine just calling it down.

looks good to me.

on the flop the only hands you would want to call/3b for value would be T3, 33, ATo (if you didn't raise for some reason), and maybe KT. this line should have a lot of fold equity, so you would want to mix in bluffs which would be more like some flush draws, Ac3x, Ac5x, etc. Still even if you're opening up your play that much in this situation, there's no reason to have T9 in a call/3b range.

Same story on the turn.

Also if you do raise either of those streets, then you have the betting lead and don't get a river call. You may have to face a turn or river raise/shove which sucks as well.

You got max value out of him and protected your stack in a limped pot. well played.
