Sounds like scared money to me. Unless you are in england, no way you should be leaving. I have not even started my session yet.

my session involves 12 cups and an 8-ft table. i have also not yet started
10-21-2011 , 06:15 PM

It's 3pm here. Guess again why I left.

I was joking man, if you don't feel like playing you don't have to play.

Ike did you put 43s in villains's range?
10-21-2011 , 07:33 PM
2 really funny fish were at my table today+some tilted regs so the average pot was like >$100 at 1/2. I bought in for $500 and cashout for $1674.

Last night I learned that poker is easier when you flop sets.

Ain't it though?

$1.4k up today mostly from the softer 5/5 game in the world. Third time I played 5/5, first time I won.

Not really, wouldn't have changed it much.

Made it through a wsopc event day 1 today with a slightly below average stack. Loooong day but I'm done until Sunday and the bubble should be coming up soon.

I'm free rolling the tournament too (won a promotion) so its be a good day

I am off to play in a charity event tonight. Doesn't pay much, but is a fundraiser for a local booster club. $25 entry, $10 rebuys and add ons, and some kind of bounty payment for knocking off celebrity participants - it is for the local high school community, and I ended up as a bounty.
Good thing I can dodge bullets, baby!

Pffftttt. Got eliminated around 20th. Raised A-8s on the CO, lose player calls 1/3 of his stack on the button. Flop is 8 high. I ship, he calls. He flips J-10s for two overs, turns the jack. He couldn't resist the bounty. Sigh.
Good time though. May head to my nightly 1/3 game.

WSOPC is in Detroit? Or is it Windsor? Good luck and be nice to the customs drones.

big skip if he called off 1/3 of his stack but had you covered I would look at your initial raise size...

I actually had him covered by a decent amount but he thought he had me covered, thus the call. It was effectively a super turbo and the blinds doubled a couple of hands later. The hit of this hand + the blinds doubling put me in an ugly spot, and I went out about 15 minutes later.

I thought later I should have just shoved with the A-8, but he probably calls anyway, at least based on how he played later. I do hate those tournament structures with blinds doubling so fast, as I truly suck at shove poker.

I am master at the shove donkaments, because that's pretty much all we got here.

When blinds are large, you should always maximize FE, and not play the hand for hand equity. Hand equity is like insurance if someone calls your shove.

Shove, shove, and more shove.
10-23-2011 , 06:45 PM
not necessarily if fold equity isn't there.

not talking about shove vs small raise but say 20% shoes vs 10% shoves

135th for 3.3k. Won a free seat, so that's all profit. Not a bad weekend.
