Agree - not quite up to Season 1, but v v good. Ali and Dorff - great/subtle performances

Hey tax and finance people.

What the hell is a federal vendor payment? I can’t seem to find any information other than “payments from a federal vendor” or some other redundant ish.

Plz halp

I guess my standards for you are very high.

I have zero standards for Turtle. Like the tallest midget competition, ya know?

Have probably told this story/memory, but...

So when I was a kid living out in the sticks you did what you had to do to entertain yourself. One of those things I would do is throw this bouncy indian ball against a wall of our house that was made up of all these jagged different sized rocks. The ball would bounce off at all these weird angles / projections / speed / etc. So I'd pitch it against this rock wall and attempt to catch it with the only baseball glove I ever had as a kid, this weird green one that I found in a ditch by my house one day. If the ball made it past me on no bounces into the garden behind me, that was a homerun; 1 bounce, a triple, 2 bounces a double, and so on. I'd play a whole 9 inning game keeping track of the score on lazy Saturdays. I was always the Montreal Expos (think Carter, Raines, Dawson, Cromartie, Wallach, etc.). But I remember Tekulve, and every once and a while the visiting pitcher would be him; his pitches really flew off that rock wall everywhere.

Yes. The farm has been wagered.

“Invest in stocks”, they said.
“It will be great”, they said.
“LYFT is the sure bet of 2019”, Ava the “financial advisor” said.

Looks like I woulda been better off putting that 10K towards an MSOP ME buy-in.

the issue is that lyft has not solved the question of how they will become profitable.

I think they also burned through just under $1B last year. I wouldn't touch them or uber with a 100000 ft pole

Great baseball/softball story.

As you might know, Conseco is a fairly avid poker player. So he was at CP a couple years ago and chatting with one of the dealers and saying he needed to get more active and stay in shape and stuff.

The dealer said, "you should join our softball team."

He said sure. So Jose Conseco played on their softball team for that season.

This might be only 94% as cool as it sounds, because there are very competitive softball leagues in Vegas. This dealer had been a hockey prospect before blowing out his knee and there was already a former AAA player on the team, but still...

Haha I know a bunch of guys that play in the same league as Conseco.

He got caught shaving a bat recently

Conseco is a great follow on Twitter. Snitched on ARod recently for cheating on his wife. Was offering a deal where you could pay money to go on a camping trip/bigfoot expedition with him.

I'm all about low standards. I give you Gin Blossoms:

The issue is people listening to Ava when he is a cumbies checkout clerk. Sure it's honest work, but....

My sidearm pitching story...

One little league playoff game I came in to pitch the last inning when we were up by 1 run.

I forget the exact details of how we got there, but I recall that I was pitching well, so I assume he reached on an error, but runner on 3rd, 2 outs, 0-2 pitch.

I decide heyyyy, good time to break out a sidearm pitch that I've only ever thrown a couple times, & only in the backyard with my dad.

Proceed to bounce it off the plate & over the catcher's head. Go to cover the plate. Guy slides in feet first, I sit on his leg, catch the ball from the catcher & tag him out to end the game.

Felt pretty dumb & lucky & didn't break out the sidearm pitch much ever again.
