Yeah stock market prices things in long before this announcement generally (or at least attempts to). Stock price up 15% as this is viewed as good news. Of course, that sentiment could prove incorrect.

Likely due to the houses I've lived in but I've pretty much ignored all ranch and split-level homes from our search.

I could probably be ok with a ranch if it had a basement.

I like it bc of the short term option. My plan is to just get to tampa/st pete...then use next 3-6 months to settle on a location.
That's pretty close to my place. Location is decent. Fairly quiet. Anything west of 22nd and south of the Hillsborough River is fine TBH.

South Tampa is anything west of downtown, south of Kennedy Blvd, and east of the Howard Frankland/275 interchange. There are sub-neighborhoods to designate where you are in South Tampa. Bayshore Blvd is close to the top end price-wise in South Tampa.

It's possible ur doing it wrong. Basement is good though uncommon in FL obv. But needing to go "upstairs" for any reason doesn't make any sense to me

Yea ok ty.

Tampa is just really hard for me to visualize bc of the sprawl. Im just not familiar with unique neighborhoods.

As opposed to saint pete where like the 2 neighborhoods to be in are old northeast and historic kenwood. (Or tierra verde if water)

You definitely do not want a basement in LOL-Florida. Groundwater levels are way too high for that.

Obvious correct answer is...

The good news is, you're typically no more than 15 minutes from cool stuff if you stick to Downtown, South Tampa, Ybor City or Seminole Heights

Anyone have any experience with Kindle Unlimited or any other book subscription service? Mostly concerned about the quality of titles available -particularly recent releases.

And I assume this is different than Kindle service offered through Prime which has proved worthless to me in the past.

The closer you are to Florida Ave in Seminole Heights, Howard Ave in South Tampa, 7th Street in Ybor, or in Downtown, the better your chances of achieving max walkable bars/restaurants

I use SafariQueue(now called O'Reilly) for technical and educational books.

Amazon Kindle for everything else.

I don't use the sub service, I purchase as needed. But the wife uses their audible service and it works well for her. Not sure if your reading interests overlap though

Re: ***Official "It Lives, It Lives" Chat Thread***

Wife and I had a ski day yesterday. Surprised to learn it was our first time out in 4 years. It showed / felt. Might be the last time she gets out, as much as she enjoys the thought of it I don't think she enjoys the actual experience nearly as much as she used to. I can take it or leave it, so no big deal; enjoyed myself for the experience it was.

Still undefeated in pokering this year, it's coming pretty easily at the moment as much as I attempt to invoke the doomswitch. Made my 6th royal flush and was dreaming of a $125K share of the capped half million BBJ (praying for my opponent to have limped KK) but no dice.
