Best wishes to SPC.

But, LMFAO, the poker games are about to get tougher in her neighborhood. She's gonna have nothing to do but sit on her butt and work out some anger management by pounding the fish.

Hope there's an hours promo coming up.

Maybe we should start a pool ITT... how many hours of pokering will SPC get in until the cast comes off?

Nasty Squid. Hope she gets better soon.

Double problem for her is that it’s she’s self employed and it’s gonna make it difficult for her to work. How long before she’ll be able to sit at a poker table?

I hope she recovers quickly. I re-damaged my knee about 8 years ago about 3 months into a rugby comeback once I’d clicked into qualifying for veterans. The hassle and disruption it caused to my home and work life and the fear of it repeating/being even worse meant I never went back to it

Speaking of extreme sports injuries I guess I slept on my arm wrong or something and it hurts like hell to move it at all. Cannot lift it over my head, straighten it out or make a fist. I'm pretty much walking around like Bob dole. This is one of my most severe cases of early-onset Olds.

Finally heard the phrase I'm being forced to go to the Superbowl uttered. To be fair Sister Walking will only be in the complex, not necessarily in the stands.

PSA for poker players with no health insurance:

You can buy lab tests online with no doctor's order. It's easy. You just pay for the test online, then it lets you fax or print a lab order to take to your local lab where you get your blood drawn. Then when you get the results online it highlights any abnormal results. You can use Google to educate yourself on any abnormal results and see a doctor if you need medication. Also definitely check your blood pressure by either buying a home BP machine (from Walmart, drug stores, etc.) or using one of the machines they have in drugstores. Obviously this is not a replacement for medical care but it's better than nothing.

I used this website and it was great:

Seven. Straight. Losing. Sessions. Nine out of 10.

It’s getting comical.

Down 3k since Jan. 18.

Way to bury the lead. Jfc, this should be triple bolded with asterisks.

Trimming my retirement holdings.

Selling all of FSPHX and VGHCX.

I'm about 33% cash and short-term bonds now.

Amazon, Berkshire Hathaway, and JPMorgan Chase to partner on US employee health care

If they are smart, GM and Ford will buy into this deal, ASAP.

I know the feeling. Just broke an 8 session losing streak of my own with a half-buy-in win. Worst of it was I played pretty well during that streak, and just got steamrolled with just wretched runouts.

We'll appreciate the run good that's coming that much more once we start crushing souls again.

15 days until the Breeze family invades America... bring me some run good for Disney money already!

Got an invite to a PLO home/underground game. Runs every weekend and looks like a good opportunity if I knew how to play the game. For my first session went with a WWAD strat, but not sure what Ava would do in certain spots. Game is 5-5 with a common but not required utg $10 straddle, buyin $400-$1000 with majority buying in for $500. Rake 5 per pot for portion of the night until x amount reached, then $0. $5 dealer tip common/expected for decent sized pots. Room was split and the other table was clearly the action table. My 6 handed table saw lots of 4, 5 and 6 way flops for $10 each.

I have nearly 3 Avas of NLHE experience over 7+ years. Read lots of Hwang books years ago, but have only dipped my toe into Casino PLO play. I have a reasonable grasp of starting hand strength from my reading. Have never beaten $5 Bovada/Ignition PLO tho (small sample, but I can't seem to win if I 4 table it)

Any study tips? How do I get good at this game? The cheapest way would be more experience on Ignition I suppose, but will that translate well? My initial guess is I'm in the top quarter of this underground pool currently, which is a LOL claim, but whatever.
