I checked myself into fat camp today. after a disgraceful few months of gluttony I'm at my heaviest ever.

the plan was to do 4 weeks really strict keto but I'm probably going to need closer to 6 to get to where I want to be

I ain't got a scale. However I'd guess about 5 to 6 pounds. My belly fat went from minor to almost gone. Man boobs shrunk a bit.

I'll be sharing needles and hitting the bathhouse every weekend now.

I strongly recommend mixing IF with your keto. 5 days is not NEC. But lots of 18 hrs off 6 hours eating is good. So is picking 2 or 3 days a week to go 24 hours. It's pretty easy after the first time.

Yeah, I regularly do 16 hours once I’ve got a week or two into a diet cycle and I’m in the zone, albeit it’s tough because I go to the gym in the mornings and not eating for 5 hours post training is really depleting.

Not interested in doing longer tbh.

Let's go fatties...gogogogogo!!!!!

BW: ~185lbs

Today's workout:
10×.25mile sprints 7:00-7:10/mile
Squat: 45×10, 135×10, 175×3, 205×3, 235×8
Bench: 45×10, 105×5, 135×5×5
Wide grip pulldowns: 140×10×5
Tricep pushdown: 75×15×5

Then I mowed some serious sushi. Remember there is no such thing as overeating, only under training

A bit ironically, the buffets can be a great place to eat healthy. It's not going to be grass fed beef or whatever. But there are plenty of fruits, veggies and meats. And most of the desserts suck anyway so it's not really that tempting.

This is actually the main reason I eat at them. I was never much of a fan until I had to figure out there I could eat healthy on the strip.

starting Football Lent @175 35" thanks to limited boozing in 2018. This year FL will be 1/2-arsed, which is okay as I'm usually 184 36" by now.
Wrapped it up @170 34", although it was 33" first thing in the morning PRetty sure the first day in Cali gets me halfway back.

Completed week 2, a 6 day training week, ate like a king, gained 2lbs. Still need to work on nutrition with the increased volume. Not looking to shed more than 10lbs in the next year so mostly body recomp.

This week I transition to 7 days, instead of a rest day today I did a recovery 50min swim. This week I'm looking to add a 3rd strength day and stretch the run portion of Wednesday's brick workout.

Get it get it folks!!!

Current program, on my 4th week. Life happens so I try to be flexible and mix and match as much as I can, but try to get it all in.
Monday - recovery swim (easy 60min)
Tuesday - .25mile×10 sprints, weights
Wednesday - 90min cycle(hard), 30min run(>10k pace)
Thursday - 60min technical ride(easy), 2500yd swim(hard)
Friday - weights, 2500yd swim(hard)
Saturday - long ride(2.5hrs-3hrs, easy), weights
Sunday runday - long run (70min-80min, easy)

Weight training rotates weekly:
2days squat+bench(1 heavy, 1 dynamic), 1 day DL+OHP(rotates between heavy and dynamic)

1 day squat + bench(rotates between heavy and dynamic), 2 days DL+OHP,(1 day heavy, 1 day dynamic)

Switched Friday for Thursday, so today's workout was:
Deadlift(dynamic): wu, 275 5×3
Ohp(heavy): wu, 85×3, 95×3, 105×7
2500yd swim

Followed by hot tub soak, hydro massage chair, and half a cauliflower crust pizza.

Keep it up folks!!!

Changing up the program. Instead of linearly increasing my long runs over the winter, I'm instead going to keep them at ~6miles for the foreseeable future. I'll continue to increase distance in swimming and biking until I'm overtraining for the race distances, as well as keep weights at 3×/week.

The goal is for my long swims to be at 2.4+miles and long rides to be at 80+miles. This should handle any aerobic fitness needs required by the run while using my 12.5miles/week of running to build running muscle. Once spring hits I'll start increasing long run distances until I hit 16miles.

Planned running volume for the winter

2.5miles in sprints(increasing pace)
4miles at >=10k pace(increasing pace)
6mile long run(increasing pace)

Anybody run into weight loss plateaus with low carb eating? any suggestions on how to break through?

Yes, but never know how to fix it. I usually throw in IF and recalculate my macros based off my new, lower weight. I've also had issues with too much protein during keto and not enough water.

1/1/19: 254.2
1/14/19: 253.7
I had a minor surgery on 1/18, ate like **** all weekend, had to have been around 256-57ish because my clothes were getting super tight. realized i needed to actually do something about it.
1/31/19: 247.5
2/28/19: 239.7

1st time under 240 since late 2017. mostly just cut **** carbs out of the diet. pastas, breads, rice, etc. not really following keto or low carb diet or anything. most of that weight loss was done without much gym time. hopefully can keep progressing. i stalled around 243ish for like a solid week and a half. just started past it this past week. clothes are fitting better, belts are going to further notches, hopefully soon i'll have to dig out all my clothes out of storage.

overall goal is bf% in the low teens, but right now i'm just focusing on getting under 230.

This is a good thread. So in 2015 I was weighing about 260, eating trash all day, drinking IPA’s 3-4 nights/week... just a mess. I started doing 45 mins on the elliptical at the gym everyday and cut out all bread/pasta/beer. I was down to 160 in 12 months. Really the best feeling ever the day I officially dropped 100lbs. Then after a breakup with a certified psycho (ex-stripper), and some legal trouble, I put back on another 45lbs.

I’m 198 right now and my goal is to get back to 160 and STAY THERE.

If anyone else is willing to post results in here I’ll definitley check in daily to see how you are doing and post my own. Valentines weekend I went to MGM Springfield and wayy over indulged in everything. I was 205 when I got home and have been doing the gym most days since. Time to get back at it.

Been lurking on here for a while, 9-5’er who is really considering going part time to play cards semi-pro. Gonna need to have mental and physical game on point to make that leap.

Let’s do this bros

Probably not a good long term weight loss and health strategy.

I’ve finally (I hope) committed to a weight loss 4-6 weeks that I’ve needed to do for a while

Normally do 2 per year but didn’t manage the second one last year because I was trying to get stronger so ended up 3kg heavier than ever before. (Also stronger too - crazy how easy a press or bench pr happens when you’re fatter)

Heaviest was 95.4kg which I think is 210 ish. Am 92.5 today basically by not being a glutton but am aiming to do 4 weeks of no liquid calories, no sugar/complex carbs. Won’t go full keto because I like protein and veggies too much.

Won’t set a goal on it, but should be able to lose at least 5kg by doing this for a month and then if I’m still in the zone, may be able to squeeze out another 2 weeks

Also looking forward to better sleeps, which I always get with no alcohol and sugar.

Am also changing up gym to include more metcoh - have set myself some erg goals so will be rowing 3/4x a week and doing less weight sessions and shorter breaks/higher reps within the lifting sessions
