Tried to make a healthy meal when I got home and was told the chicken wasn't put out to thaw. So I ordered Chinese because ffffuuuu not going back to the store.

At least I stayed away from the rice and stuck with chicken and mixed veggies. Moral victory I suppose?

IIFYM man.

For instance, because my dinner and breakfast is less than 600 calories, I have some leeway for lunch. Almost 1k calories depending on if I want to have a beer at home.

Also, bc my avg daily calorie deficit is 1600 calories, I can afford to have a cheat meal once or twice per 7 day period and still lose weight.

1600 deficit is impressive

I try to keep breakfast and lunch at low calorie levels so I have more flexibility at night

I prefer a larger dinner

The bmr calculator says with my height, weight, and activity level (3-5 days a week) my bmr is 3400. With a setting of sedentary it's 2200, so even then I'm at a 600 calorie deficit a day.

Doesn't seem right

I found my Bmr according to an online calculator

Based on my level of activity it says to multiply by 1.55

=2,728 calories per day to maintain

No way even eating as unhealthy as I have been that I was eating close to 3k calories per day

FYI those calculators are ****ed. They make assumptions about body composition that likely aren't correct for someone overweight.

Right. But my no activity bmr is 2200 calories for my height and weight. 2200 × 1.55 = 3410

Not disagreeing that the number you posted is what it told you. I just don't think it's accurate.

I wouldn't have gained the weight as quickly as I did if that calculation made sense

Current fatbody state: 242 lbs have a good amount of muscle left over from last fitness stretch.
Goal: 199 lbs
Ultra-goal: 185 lbs

I'm 6-0, athletic build.

Trying to lose 2 lbs/ week starting out. Will then taper down to 1.5 lbs/ week and eventually 1 lb/ week before moving to maintain.

I've done it before, but last time I was 4 years younger (34 now), and had the easy out of converting fat to "new gains" muscle while lifting. Went from 250 to 212 over about 6 months, then maintained at around 215-220 and added muscle for about 2 years.

Hurt my back in a sledding accident, then ribs in a skiing accident, went from college to the working world, stopped working out, and fattened back up to 240+ over the last year.

Not sure I can live at 185 healthily, but want to try.

OK. Now time for pokers. Gonna get something healthy with my meal comp today.

No exercise today - too fricken busy. Still eating well - 7 servings of veggies and 5 fruits a day. Protein in chicken and fish. I do all the cooking in my house so I always like what's cooked!!!

PODCASTS - while riding/running I am tired of the same stale playlists. Anyone know of any poker podcasts that focus on beginners or 1-2 players?

Just a mention - for those of you that are drinking a meal replacement you might want to look for this one - UNJURY. It comes in a couple flavors. I use the vanilla and chocolate. Not sure of the retail price. It is highly thought of in the Hospital world. The protein is critical for weight loss patients - those opting for surgery and those not. Many times the boutique meal replacements have you paying for ingredients you don't need or want - or can actually use. This one hits the needs. I drink one for breakfast and it keeps me feeling full until lunch. If I know I am eating a late lunch I double it.

There is some AIDSy podcast on OnTilt Radio you may like. Called AboveEV. The hosts are a train wreck but they actually get good guests and discuss HHs from here on 2+2.

Limon podcasts are the gold standard.

Tried to get my gf a link to my AboveEV appearances and it's like trying to crack the da Vinci code.

Your restaurant strat is legit and we do listen to it...your hotel strat is pure AIDS unless family vacay oriented. And those places don't let me within 1,000 yards.

+1

More recent episodes no longer listed at http://podcasts.ontiltradio.com/playlist/mp3/, it's almost as if they don't want to be heard no more.

Buddy was just fired and it was 100% political so our boss brought us into the conference room where we proceeded to polish off 4 bottles of glenfiddich 18. So I'm off my diet a bit and very pissed off.

Carry on!
